New HOMEPAGE Design by Aupmanyav

I go to 'Change password'. Put in the old password and the intended new one twice. Then I press update. But when I try to login again with the new password, it says password wrong.
Your password was changed yesterday 5.40pm UK time. I will set up a test user later to check that it's working

@Aupmanyav
I checked and was able to change password with no problem. I could set you a new password manually, if required? I would know it, but then you can change it again?

How about the homepage? Why you do not get it as I get it on all four of my browsers. I used the .zip file downloaded from my post #123.
I think it may be because of earlier files. > After removing all old files from the folder <, unzip that .zip file and check.
I am getting to enter Interfaith without any problem, so I would not touch 'change password' at the moment. though I have no problem about your knowing my password. :)
Thinking of going to WordPress again.

I don't get the homepage on the file you sent me

Is there anyone with IT skills and time to help @Aupmanyav with this?

I'll change the max file size later. No need to delete any themes or plugins. They've been inactive for a long time, but may still be useful. I don't like deleting anything, really? The site has been updated to WP 5.9

1. @RJM, themes can be added anytime one wants.
2. I have understood how to add a page without disturbing the current Interfaith structure. I will try it today. :)

I could not find any way to include New Post / Recent Activity, though I have the page ready format ready. So, I will proceed with getting up the new page and leave that for future.
RJM, how do you collect the information about Recent Thread Discussions?
Page format (on Chrome):

Ignore. See next post

Is there a new page to look at? I used.to go back to that first post and click..but got 404.

I am impressed at the crash recovery and then improvements? Sort of envious of the knowledge you are picking up!

@RJM , I have solved the 'New Posts' Problem. It is a bit circuitous. But it does not need manual picking. The process is like this:

1. Search for New Posts, 2. Copy the portion to LibreOffice writer, 3. Remove the unwanted portions (Avatara, etc.), 4. Adjust font-size and Paragraph, 5. Save it as HTML, 6. Open the HTML and copy it on to the New Home Page and you are done.
(Note: I had unbolded the topic name, but it is not looking good. I will not make it bold but underline it, and space things in a better way in a new version)
See the result here:

Now what remains is only loading the page on WordPress. Tomorrow, possibly!
BTW, my fixation with Home Page is not allowing me to participate in discussions, but I think Interfaith does not miss much. :D

As long as we will still have the Recent Thread Discussions drop-down, I personally am not worried about losing the New Posts drop-down. The Recent Thread Discussions is updated manually by the WP Posts function which is used to add news and new material to the homepage and which must not be lost? It is most important, imo

The New Posts drop-down in the image above doesn't look good, imo. It is jumbled and confusing and difficult to follow

@RJM , I think we need to get back to Xenforo and Pixeledit. We may not have updated the software for a long time. And they provide life-long support. Why not write to them and get the password back? That will also enable us to make any change that we may like.

With access to Xenforo, we can perhaps make 'Recent Thread Discussions' and 'New posts' automatic.

What I will do is to have a free one-month hosting at WordPress and experiment there. They allow it. :D
They way 'where there is a will, there is a way'.
