You must be learning a lot! Can you try increasing the row sizes for the two rows of religions by about 50% and eliminating the last two white lines?

Imagining a drop down for music selections by religions...including secular inspirational and vector graphics of interfaith logos flying in from random places on the horizon as dots and then growing till they "fly" "thru" or past the perceived camera.

1. Increasing the row height is not a big problem. I can always increase the padding. What is affected is the 'dainty-ness' of the page. Removing white lines (they are borders) also is not a problem. I will try that and do so if the effect is good.

2. On a second thought, I am removing audio control from the page. Audio control is available through the computer panel. Why duplicate it! That way I just have to add a audio file.

3. Adding 'religious music' is a good idea. At the moment, we have a music forum where members may have included videos from religions, but not an index according to religions. Hymns, chants, recitals. IMHO, this should be like a 'special feature', where members could check for music from different religions.

However, I will prefer the background music to be secular, instrumental or with 'Aalap' as in Indian music, where word sounds are used but no lyrics.

Imo it just clutters the simplicity of the page for no good reason, and anyway it doesn't work on the phone screen, as seen below:

Imo @wil's original mission statement at the top, says everything that needs to be said, in just a few words
Interfaith dialogue and discussion of beliefs in a safe format

I notice this wording has now been changed to read:
Interfaith exploration and dialogue of beliefs in a safe format
Is there a reason for the change?

What's the purpose of the World Religions header?
Is it needed?

Suggestions from members. Wil and RbbiO. What members finally decide will remain.
I have corrected the marquee in my copy. After I sort out music, I will put it on tiiny.site.
We first explore and then debate. That is my reason.
But again, I do not decide what the final page will be like. I limit myself to design.

w3css provides for two kind of image effects. Slide in (from any direction, top, left, right or below) and fade. See it here: https://www.w3schools.com/w3css/w3css_slideshow.asp. We can have that somewhere in the empty space. Or a regular slide show from the right to left. Images also can roll out like the ticker tape is doing. What kind of effect would you like, and what kind of images would you like to have? It has to have a bank of images.

Image marquee is not difficult. I have this image which has symbols for 11 of our religions (Confucianism is missed). I can get the Confucianism symbol and put all twelve in a line. If you want some other kind of images, then give me some idea about that. More work if one wants images of churches, mosques, temples, shrines, synagogues, etc. from all over the world. Images will need to be small.

Then the problem comes a to where to place these images? Will they interfere with other elements of the page? I have brought the marquee from upper half of the page to lover half. That is less obtrusive. Image below.

New, completely new.
Homepage with a continuous 'Starry Night' image marquee (movement: left to right) at the bottom. I am going to put it on tiiny.site within 10 minutes. See it there. Done. The image, of course, can always be changed.

The extra words (make friends, have fun, enjoy our site) are like from a school magazine along the lines of: We wish you many hours of happy fun

However it doesn't need to be there at all, imo. It could be added to the About blurb, but on the homepage it's just extra clutter?

I like the multiple symbols provided for Christianity and Islam... The more the merrier as far as I am concerned...there are wiccan and goddess symbols to be found..african religions, indigenous religions, the ankh, other symbols like the 4 color/direction drum..


Like the fade in fade out...

You are correct. I will check and see what the problem is.
@wil , the marquee is perhaps the simplest way we can put the images. Fade out/slide in have longer codes. But let us see.

** Coming up soon. RJM, I have made the changes as you wanted. Next, I will try to bring the lower six buttons above the marquees, so that the images are not obstructed by them.
