What do you look like?

I've been memorialized in a card game that is coming out next month... The card is called Vortex...referencing my stirring things up on the internet...I don't think the card or action is very representative of me.... lol

Oh and for the record..... I am a male. Just thought I would state that now.

I hope the mods allow this post or at the least feel free to move it. I see many posters in this place with wise words and I'm always curious as to how they look :).. Wouldn't it be nice if we had some visual aid with some of the members here :) Ill start you off this is me!

Must say its not my best picture, but At least we can become more human now, instead of letters on screen :)

I am a huge believer in showing what I look like in a community-like setting like this. It's nice placing the face with the words of someone you've been "talking" to for days, weeks, years, decades. I feel friendlier too.

I don't use my aged mug for my profile pic, but there's a recent snap of me and one from 45 years ago in this thread:

Don't be too frightened, the years have not been kind... LOL :D

I'd rather stay anonymous, not because of anyone here, but because there are just too many easy tools for stalkers to use, google image search and so on.

I don't know if this forum allowed for non-public threads where bots can't go: I'd feel more comfortable sharing a picture.

To me the advantage is people DON'T know what others look like online. It's the great equaliser. We judge by quality of thought alone, lol

I thought we were supposed to figure out whether you looked more like Snoopy, Linus or.... the blanket!

I think most stalkers know and see people in real life, as it even started way before the Internet. Strangers can easily know where you live in real life.

Well, there can be bias/prejudice in that too. Plus, many, many people lie all the time online, so who's to know the real anybody.
That's the strange thing; IMO in a way people expose themselves more online than person to person. A person's Facebook personality is sometimes quite startling if you actually do know the person.

I left Facebook long ago. Hate it. But you can know the most peaceful mellow type of guy on the outside, and his Facebook personality will be really aggressive and angry?

So it doesn't matter who you are or what your mask is, because online you just cannot help exposing your true self? You might be in a wheelchair, or you might have mental difficulties, or you might be a man posting as a woman, you could be anything -- but your real personality is coming across?

edit: I like yours @Krisha Mitra Das :)

I think a lot of us lucky to find this place have been through enough to have surrendered some of our youthful, foolish sharp edges, lol?

At least here between ourselves, in this community?

Normally I look like this really old guy I would really not want to remember I look like. After shoveling a bunch of cold white stuff because the guy I pay to plow the long horseshoe driveway still has not shown up, I look like a really cold and wet really pissed off really old guy. Definitely no pictures. Someone who vividly remembers President Truman asking Congress to allow military intervention in Korea should never have to shovel that much snow.
