Mystery Thread

This "receipt" was originally posted on my LiveJournal feed (it's for Cinnamon Cream Cheese Muffins):

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar mixture (for topping)
Optional: 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted (for drizzle)
Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
In a small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth.
Fill each muffin liner halfway with the batter. Add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center, then top with more batter to cover the cream cheese.
Sprinkle the tops with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the muffin (not the cream cheese center) comes out clean.
Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
If desired, drizzle with melted white chocolate before serving.
Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cooking Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes

Servings: 12 muffins

I'm not sure if anyone here would be interested in this:

In case the video's taken down, it is/was for Lace Skirt Dumplings (two "receipts" for them.)

Is anyone interested in these "receipts"?

The first one is for a "lazy" apple crisp and the second is for what the passengers of the Carpathian and the survivors of the Titanic might've eatien on the fateful night (but nobody had a menu from the rescue ship (other than what was shown in the video, and that was either before or long after the rescue.)

Certainly! Here is a simple recipe for Gang Jay, a flavorful vegetarian curry popular in Thai cuisine:

Ingredients:
- 1 can of coconut milk
- 1 tbsp red curry paste
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, zucchini, carrots, and broccoli)
- 1 block of tofu, cubed
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat the coconut milk over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
2. Add the red curry paste and stir well to combine.
3. Add the mixed vegetables and tofu to the pot, stirring to coat them with the curry sauce.
4. Season with soy sauce and sugar, adjusting to taste.
5. Simmer the curry for about 10-15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the flavors have melded together.
6. Serve the Gang Jay hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
Hi, and Peace to All H

Welcome to the "CR Cookbook".

I named the thread what I named it because I figured that "Your Favorite Recipes" might not draw as many lookers. I hope I am forgiven:eek: (probably "eek" is not the best icon here, but I do not have a smiley with batting lashes and hearts at the moment--not even a "Martha" smiley:D. I need to go shopping...I wonder if a "Martha" smiley would come with a little band around its ankle?)

Anyway, anyone got a recipe or two? (This is going to be a long thread--if I were a betting woman, I'd lay marbles on it--if I could find my marbles. I do have a marble cutting board, but it tends to ruin my knives....:))

Bon Appetit...

Nice, thanks. :)

Another "receipt" that was served on the "Carpathia" to survivors of the "Titanic":

The host says that it reminds him of Knott's Berry Farm's shortbread cookies, except one would need to substitute a berry or preserves for the apricot...
