Excuse me, I feelt the urge to find a appropriate forum to discuss my ideas and find my equals.
Since this is a religions discussion thread, where do a satanist like me turn?
Where should I post?

I think Alternative is probably a good spot to start. There's been a couple of folks through in the past that identified themselves as Satanist, but not enough discussion to spin off a section yet. Welcome to CR!

Indeed, I think it's more a case of once there are enough discussions on a specific sphere of ideology, then a board is created to cater for it.

To be honest, though, CR is in sore need of the board structure being updated, so hopefully we'll see some changes very soon indeed...

welcome! i always enjoy talking to satanists - at least the sensible sort, not the sort that just think it's clever to mock everyone - there should be more of the former, that's for sure.

Hi Satanist,

I'm interested in hearing your views. Welcome to CR!

*stands strong on some big hill with the sun setting behind him making him shiloutte...... with the wind blowing into his long hair and cape... Yes, cape....*
Reminds me of exactly how Ted Nugent started his set at Cal Jam II he was propelled from back stage up on top of the speakers just as the sun was setting...um er no cape....but all the rest...me thinks he was like the 9th or 10th band...

AH, Cal Jam II! Could hear the echoes through the Azusa canyon at my folk's house a few miles away. Alas, I had been a bad boy, and was not allowed to attend.

It does make me wonder though Wil, if perhaps our lives have crossed in the not so distant past. It's a small world, afterall!

Does Charter Oak High School ring any bells?

Nah, we rolled down from Tahoe to LA and SF concerts...and then back up the mountain after recovery.

It is a small world, one Mardi Gras I bumped shoulders whilst walking out a bar and turned and found a friend...with the millions there a few seconds or had we not bumped shoulders we'd have never known each other was there. He came out from Nevada and me down from Maryland and happenned upon each other on the same threshold hundreds of miles from our perspective homes.

lol... 17th, what happenned to ur JW conversion? (glad to have to bk on t'other side, though)

hello satanist... yes, I am another who would like to hear of your beliefs, yet mainly so I can potentially mock them... as a satanist, I know you will not mind this... welcome to CF!

adios

EH? What happened to being a JW? lol That was ages ago... And I kind of only went along for the eye candy... I hardly ever came on here when I was a JW because they don't wish for interfaith minglings..... (mee.....) lol... But anywho... I think we should have some SatanistVChristian forum where we can just rip the chunks of flesh off each other ;\

I love all types of Satanist.... Those in it cause it is cool, those that are in it for the shock value, those are in it cause they like horror films and wait, I can shorten this... Not very serious Satanists, Semi-serious Satanist, very serious Satanists... Love um, love um all ;\ We need more, maybe I should go recruit them here?

There are two main branches of Satanism.
Traditional: Those who see Satan as a supernatural being etc.
Modern Satanism: Those who are Atheists but use Satan as a personal symbol. I guess one is theist and one is not.
I would fall under technically Modern Symbolic Satanist. I have no belief in any deity. But I use Satan as a symbol.

.how you came to your chosen path?
I was raised in a household where my mother was a Catholic and my father was just a spiritual person who read the bible. I was raised attending Catechism. I was also raised to be curious and open minded about other religions. My parents allowed to to visit my best friend's Lutheran church. I also attended as a young child JW Sunday school to learn the bible. And our neighbors were Hindi. My father died when I was 11. And my brother was in the seminary studying to be a Baptist minister.

Now in all that I never had a belief in any sort of deity. I learned what I needed to learn. I went where my parents wanted me to go. But no one ever thought to ask if I actually believe in God. And once my father died I had to really think about that. Most kids would be mad at God. And I never was. Most kids would questions where their parent would go after death. I never did. I started looking for faiths that matched my own so I could fit in. I dabbled in Paganism, Wicca, Santeria, Voodoo etc. I found that I was indeed a person who does not believe in any sort of deity. I found that to be Atheist. I then came upon The Satanic Bible and found I agreed with many of the ideas. I also wanted to make sure I was always going toward who I am and not running away from something. I don't hate theist. (My boyfriend being a Muslim) It's just not for me.

The Latinos / Latinas I have had the pleasure of their acquaintance are overwhelmingly Catholic, and those few that are not are still very Christian.
True. But talk to the older women. They use non Christian ideas still to this day. They use midwife lore to cure illnesses. Catholicism is wrapped in sensual religion and ritual. A perfect jump to other beliefs.
