Ban Religion Completely

Reminds me of this coach for my sister's soccer team. The ref called something off a bit so the coach questioned the ref and then he let it go. Then the coach asked some vocal parents to let it go and a soccer mom just about decked him. She literally charged him and bounced him off her excessive girth while raising her arms and yelling to let everyone know her values... in front of two teams of girls around age 8 or 9.

Like everything I'd place sports in the dual use category... it depends how you look at it and what you do with it.

It's just sports and being competitive I play/watch/love/live and breath Ice hockey... There is much more than some kids moma letting go..

I play as a wingman/Enforcer.... My job is to hurt and deal justice/punishment to the other team and protect high scorers and play makers from the other teams Enforcers... Violence is just apart of some sports... It's tough love... Can't spell love without violence. Whats it got to do with banning religion? I'm lost.

I think there's a difference between sports which involve some violence (such as Ice-hockey, rugby, boxing) and violence between non-players because of sports.

I think the idea is that banning religion to end the associated violence would be similar to banning sport to end the associated violence.

There is less off the field/rink/pitch/track/whatever violence in more "physical" games.. Because there is enough in the game well apart from when 'certain' teams win the Stanley cup... Then there is a bit of "trouble".

But to ban something doesn't mean, thats the end of it.. Just look at some fanatics that are into religion enough to kill themselves... Saying "Oh you're naughty! Thats enough of that you silly!" Isn't going to stop it is it.... :\
