Body of God

yes all of those things you mention are Good , and in this time of the end the understanding about the prophecies especially the ones regarding GODS HEAVENLY KINGDOM DANIEL 2;44 and the understanding that Jesus is now a reigning king ,in that newly established heavenly kingdom ,is now abundant knowledge indeed Daniel 12;4 Daniel 7;13-14 so we dont need to spend our time wondering and searching the bible because the early bible students have done all of the roving around the bible and now the true knowledge is abundant indeed.

Maybe you feel comfortable just going along with what someone else tells you something means. I don't. I believe I am supposed to read my Bible myself and listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Also, I don't waste time with this practice. I read my Bible, and what I do not understand, I trust God will reveal to me in time if I need to understand it.

but what is important for us is to recognise fullfilled bible prophecy and to put our trust in that HEAVENLY KINGDOM GOVERMENT DANIEL 2;44

Why? Why not just spend our time loving God and each other? Why is recognizing prophecy important? Jesus gave us a message that we serve Him in the poor, the downtrodden, the needy. So I am unclear as to why His own commandment is considered insufficient?

Just as Jesus fullfilled the prophecies in the hebrew scriptures back in his day , and those who recognized him as Gods representative back then were looking to the right way .

Ah, but not all who recognized Him knew anything about the Hebrew prophecies. They recognized Him because their hearts were turned toward God, whether or not they knew about the prophecy. (For example, consider the Roman soldier.) And even those who did not recognize Him were forgiven. ("Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.")

remember it was the proud religious leaders that did not recognise Jesus , so it is to day, the so called religious leaders who claim to be Gods representatives do not recognize fullfilled bible prophecy and all the signs that go with it .

Indeed. Yet many uneducated people, who were unlikely to have known all the prophecies, and even some Gentiles, recognized Him. So it is not all about prophecy. It is about whether someone seeks after God. God promises us that if we seek after Him, He will come to us (Matthew 7:9). There is no clause about whether or not we know anything at all about prophecy.

and in turn they are rejecting Jesus himself . Jesus is now a reigning king in the heavenly kingdom and putting our trust in that heavenly kingdom is the way to go Daniel 2;44 .

If any person seeks after God, s/he will find Him. That was God's promise to us. We are unable to reject Jesus if we are in fact seeking Him. In addition, Jesus tells us that when we serve others, we serve Him. So we are unable to reject Him if we are reaching out with compassion to others, seeing in them, the Christ.

do not allow religious leaders to mislead you to dissmiss fullfilled bible prophecy. :) make no mistake about it , there is great opposition to the true knowledge that is abundant Daniel 12;4

No worries for me. I don't follow any religious leaders of any sort. I read my own Bible, and other spiritual texts, and I ask the Spirit to lead me in how I conduct my own life. :)

in this time of the end the things that you mentioned ( trying to be a good person)are all good , but the gathering of people from all nations to welcome Jesus as a newly crowned king , and recognizing just who gave him that kingship is what is going on . REVELATION 7;9-10 and they are all being brought into UNITY of thought and purpose, and they are from ALL NATIONS .and it is VERY GOOD . there is no other way to salvation .

I disagree. The Gospels say otherwise. Jesus Himself said otherwise. It is not about what we say with our mouths. It is what we do with our lives. It is in becoming like Christ- serving the way He served, cultivating the attitude of humility and love and grace that He had- that we show we have been saved by grace.

Goodness, compassion, love... this is the message of the Gospel. Matthew 5:1-12.

When the Lord sits on His throne and judges, He does so based on our evidence of love for our fellow beings. Jesus told us this would be the case. Matthew 25: 31-46.

if we didnt need them Jesus would not have bothered making them known , and the bible would not speak about them, its because they are important especially for the times that we live in ,that we need to recognise the signs and act on them . MATTHEW 24;14 how we respond to the GOODNEWS of the kingdom (Daniel 2;44 DANIEL 7;13-14 ) That is being heralded on a global scale is what is important.

Mee, I think what you do not realize is that all people have been created uniquely. Our spiritual gifts are unique, and our spiritual needs. Some have the gift of prophecy, others healing, others teaching, etc. Some have needs for signs and others do not.

do we reject the GOODNEWS , or do we respond to it , its not a case of saying oh i am a christian i try to Do good deeds , its about going along with Gods purpose for the earth and that would include being part of the GREAT CROWDwho are all waving their symbolic palm branches to welcome Gods newly enthorned king REVELATION 7;9-10

The heart of being a Christian, in my opinion, is following Christ and becoming like Him. He spoke a message of service to others. That is the heart of Christianity- to love God and to love others, and to serve Christ by serving others. (See the passages quoted above.)

In serving others in need and in loving all beings, we serve and love Christ.

In so doing, we welcome God's king. We welcome Him as He taught us to welcome Him-- in the disguise of beings in need, in suffering, and in pain.

yes its all about what the bible says, and if we go along with what the bible says we do feel comfortable feeding from the ones Jesus is feeding matthew 24;45-47. and it is very good healthy food :) yes everthing Jesus spoke of is happening in a big way .

Also, I don't waste time with this practice. I read my Bible, and what I do not understand, I trust God will reveal to me in time if I need to understand it.

.
yes the true knowledge and understanding is being revealed and made known , but the question is ...How do we repond to it ?:)

path_of_one;137371 Why? Why not just spend our time loving God and each other? .[/quote said:
yes thats what Jesus said didnt he , :) but doing the will of God is what it is all about . and in this time of the end Jesus is directing a great preaching work to get the GOODNEWS to all people. matthew 24;14

working along with Gods purpose is the way to go , because a person is doing what Jesus asked of them matthew 28;19-20 they would also be doing what Jesus taught .

Ah, but not all who recognized Him knew anything about the Hebrew prophecies. They recognized Him because their hearts were turned toward God, .
and there you have it , those are the ones that Jehovah is searching out . and there is a GREAT CROWD of them revelation 7;9-10:)

very true matthew 5;5
Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.psalm 37;11

yes very true , have we helped christs brothers .

i would agree that we are all different and we dont all have abilities the same,
but the gifts that you mentioned were miraculas gifts that were given to those followers at that time , and those gifts served a purpose at that time .
but those gifts in men were foretold to pass away, and so they did after the last apostles fell asleep in death . and the only remaining thing would be LOVE . we dont any longer need miraculas gifts . they served a purpose at the time but those gifts are nolonger needed to prove that ones are of God.

I don't think the gifts were to prove one was from God. Many people from many traditions can heal people, for example. Many non-Christians can accurately predict the future- I happen to a know a few that are very accurate in precognition and are not Christian. They were just born able to do it.

I think these gifts, when applied with the love of Christ, are to help ease the suffering of others and to provide for them. Healing others, for example, whether through spiritual or energetic means, or by regular ole Western medicine, has at its goal alleviation of people's physical suffering. When people's basic needs are met, they are more able to get involved in a spiritual life.

I believe the evidence of a life in Christ is not in miracles, but in the fruits of the Spirit. On that, I am guessing, we agree.

in the fruits of the Spirit. On that, I am guessing, we agree.

yes i do agree with that ,
but i also think that a miracle is happening on a worldwide scale , and that miracle would not be happening if Gods holy spirit was not behind it . and here it is spoken of in matthew 24;14 and revelation 7;9-10
and the reason that it is a miracle is because there is great opposition in the world to that preaching work , but when the most high is behind and with that work it will be accomplished . and it is moving ahead very nicely :) also the bible itself is a great miracle,
Yes, the Bible has been instrumental in transforming the lives of nearly 7 million people who live around the globe, filling their lives with purpose and offering them a marvelous hope for the future.

Hebrews 4:12 states: "The word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and their marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart."

I don't think God wants followers who enjoy being spoon-fed their beliefs without first examining what they're being fed.."
VERY TRUE INDEED .:)

for God With Your Heart and Mind

True Christianity encourages the use of both the heart and the mind in building faith that pleases God.

the most widely traveled early missionary, the apostle Paul, exhorted Christians to use their "power of reason" and to "prove to [themselves] the good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:1, 2)

For example, a number of people in the Macedonian city of Beroea "received the word [of God] with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things [explained by Paul and his companions] were so." (Acts 17:11)

Two things are worth noting here. First, the Beroeans were eager to listen to God’s Word; second, they did not blindly assume that what they heard was correct, but they referred back to the Scriptures.

The Christian missionary Luke humbly commended the Beroeans for this, calling them "noble-minded." Do you reflect such a noble mind in your approach to spiritual matters?
