It's my sadness to report that it appears that flowperson died of a malignant tumour in April earlier this year.

While it's often hard to get real details on people's lives offline, some excellent detective work by seattlegal unfortunately brought to light information on another forum that suggests he's passed on:
Welcome to the Parallel Universe • View topic - The Chair

Checking up on flow's registration details, I'm satisfied there's enough of a match to say it unfortunately reads true on our flow.

I can't think of any post that defines Robert, but I'm left with the memory of someone who brought a sense of companionship through interested and generally good natured conversation.

You flow before us - bon voyage, brother.

Give it up for...OSCAR CHICAGO ROAD !!!

flow....

*Gives it up!*

Funny, friendly, funny, insightful and funny... My friend my brother Flow... I look forward to meeting you one day. God bless.

Brian and SG thankyou.

Flow we have missed you for so long and yet we miss you.

I shall always remember you as a bright light in a desert sky.......

*a lone :kitty: tunes up, then starts "singing" Amazing Grace with a little backup by the rest of the :kitty: chorus. After the last note fades into the distance, there are a few moments of silence, only eyes blinking, then the lone :kitty: "touches up" his immaculate coat and walks over to the "feeding station" for a bite to eat and some fresh water*

I feel real sorrow at this news. Robert was one of the most influential people to me here and I feel gutted that I did not take the hints he most surely gave. Personally in the last weeks he was here I felt he was trying to reach out with particular urgency and I mistook his intensity for woman troubles. I dont listen to well even to my friends it seems.

Flow, old buddy, I crack open the Ardbeg and take a cup oh kindness yet, my glass raised to every cell you ever were. I salute and celebrate you as a man of immense humanity and reason whom will be sorely missed.

Wherever you go you will Flow!!

Flow,

We knew something was up, it wasn't like you to be this quiet.

We were looking pondering asking and refused to speak what we thought.

The discussions on the other side must be incredible.

And surely made all the more active with you around.

peace bro

Terribly sad news. :(

Thank you to seattlegal for finding this information for us so we can grieve and remember flow.

Flow, thank you for all you gave us in humor, wisdom, and kindness. I give thanks for your life and gentle spirit. Catch you on the other side.

Laurie

Once again I find myself grieving at the loss of a wonderful online friend, whose dialogue made me think (which I'm sure made Flow happy), and whose presence I missed and will continue to miss.

One day, Flow, we'll talk again...

He participated in the haiku chain, which was cool and seemed like a geniune intellectual troublemaker. I had wanted to talk some more with Flow, but he left too soon.

oh flow, i miss you calling me "deary". His absence will be noticed. (im sitting here at an internet cafe in the middle of Brisbane crying like a baby for him). love ya flow.

I have been constantly going back and forth on this thread to read the posts... Isn't it amazing and wonderful, how so much distance, so many miles, different time zones and love can conquer and surround humans that have never met.... Yet it wraps its wings around them all and brings them closer than they could be if they were simply physically in each others presence..

truly, that is a beautiful and such a powerful thing... It leaves one in awe, never to have had the pleasure of meeting such a person yet they have made a difference, an effect on your life, and you upon them.... What a wonderful world...

wow there seems to have been a lot of deaths on these forums. Mark, Deb and Randy, and now Flow :(

A lot of life, too, though. It's that which binds us.

I'm tempted to start a "moving buddy" thread, suggesting that everyone who is happy to provide personal details to someone they trust, so that in the event of anything serious happening, the community can be informed and we can rally around. Not sure how useful that may be, but of all the forums I run, IO has the strongest sense of community among all of them.
