I wonder what's happened to WHKeith, what's going on with him...I miss bananabrain's sharp wit and stout defence of Judaism, yet his ability to engage sympathetically with a liberal Jew such as Dauer.
Vaj had personal issues, and I've no idea how things might have developed since then. A shame as again he really contributed to the sense of community with his insights on Buddhism and Eastern Philosophy.
If you had said “stout defence of Orthodox Judaism” or “traditionally observant” Judaism or something similar, that would be one thing, but as phrased you seem to be saying that liberal Jews cannot or will not offer stout defense of Judaism. As a rabbi aligned with the Reform movement in North America I take exception to that characterization.I miss bananabrain's sharp wit and stout defence of Judaism, yet his ability to engage sympathetically with a liberal Jew such as Dauer.
