I was raised in a big Italian family with seven brothers and sisters. I can remember as a child my father had a beautiful Italian voice and would sing this song to me every night before I went to bed. I called him up and had him read me these lyrics and now sing them to my 9 year old son. It puts him to sleep everytime. Sort of like Cats in the Cradle I guess...:) peace and love, tommy
