Another Media "Star" Passed

Charles Edward Daniels passed away on July 6th at the tender age of 83 from a hemorrhage.

"Who?" you ask?

Charlie Daniels was a country "star" best known for the "hit" The Devil Went Down to Georgia, although he wrote and/or performed on other songs since the 1960s. Here's his filmography with a short obituary: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0199863/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Bob the :kitty: crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 13th of this year (I know, it's been over a month, but the site was down when he passed.)

"Who?" you ask?

He was a stray that made it in books, busking and film while helping his human companion deal with substance abuse and other problems. Bob interacted with both commoners and "uppercrust"s with the same :kitty:tude.

Here's his filmography: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm6872584/?ref_=vp_back

John Lewis passed away last weekend (I think) at the tender age of 80.

"Who?" you ask?

He was one of the original civil rights marchers (he knew MLK Jr. in his youth) plus Congressman Lewis had served almost to his death. Now he's chatting it up with Elijah Cummings as well as several of his former colleagues from both the Freedom Riders and from Congress that had passed before him.

Here's more about him (from the source where I found out about his passing, originally posted Tuesday):

Regis Philbin and Peter Allen Greenbaum both passed away, Philbin at the tender age of 88 of natural causes and Green was 74.

"Who?" you ask?

Regis Philbin was somewhat unknown as an actor and a television host/personality, including the show that started as Regis and Kathy Lee (it's still kinda on albeit without the original hosts.) Here's his filmography: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005310/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Peter Green was a founding member of an unknown group: Fleetwood Mac, plus he was a prolific musician in his own right. Here's his information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Green_(musician)

Herman Cain passed away from COVID-19 at the tender age of 74.

"Who?" you ask?

He was an authentic entrepreneur (started up Godfathers Pizza franchise) and ex-candidate for US president on the Republican ticket back in 2012. He also got into remission after a diagnosis of Stage-4 cancer several years before contracting the coronavirus. It is suspected that he contracted the virus at Drumpf's Tulsa rally, which Cain attended.

Buddy also passed away at the tender age of seven from COVID-19.

"Who?" you ask?

He was the first confirmed case of canine vulnerability to the coronavirus in the United States, being symptomatic in April, soon before his seventh birthday. His human companions decided to end his suffering earlier this week.

George Thomas Seaver passed away at the tender age of 75 due to complications of Lewy body dementia (which took Robin Williams, too., a few years back, I believe.)

"Who?" you ask?

Tom Seaver, one of the best pitchers in American Major League baseball, plus he was involved with other projects both during and after his baseball career. Here's his filmography: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0780856/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Ronald Khalis Bell passed away at the tender age of 68 and Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg passed away at the tender age of 82.

"Who?" you ask?

Ronald Bell was one of the composers/songwriters for Kool and the Gang, writing many of the songs during their heyday (here's his filmography: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1434534/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0) and Dame Diana Rigg (who succumbed to cancer) was one of the Bond girls as well as being in The Avengers and several other productions since 1959. Here's her filmography: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001671/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_4

'Tis a sad day for all (relatively) sane people in the United/"United" States. She had a level head on her shoulders, respected by (most) of her colleagues during her legal career.

Metistatic pancreatic cancer's a female canine imnsho.
