What NON-POLITICAL, NON-RELIGIOUS Headlines Are You Following?

I've been keeping up on the wildfires on the west coast of the United States (I have friends/contacts there) and I just found out that the El Dorado fire was started by a fooking gender reveal party (one firefighter perished in that fire.) Fooking idjits and prohibited pyrotechnics.

You may hit a paywall. I subscribe and do not remember how it works. Sorry if you do.

Jack White taking the stage on SNL as a last-minute replacement, pays tribute to Eddie van Halen (one of his bandmates paid tribute to John Prine, too) : https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jack-white-offers-nod-eddie-063251603.html https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/jack-white-eddie-van-halen-snl-homage-082538712.html https://www.spin.com/2020/10/jack-w...len-on-snl-by-playing-custom-designed-guitar/

The original band that was supposed to perform was "canned" because they broke one of SNL's rules pertaining to the current pandemic, but nobody cared when Jack White took the stage with the guitar designed specifically for him by the late Eddie van Halen.

It would be an oxymoron- both can't be right; one is right the other wrong, but BOTH can be wrong. Let's take our pick. Well, all humans are partly wrong, but some more so than others.

Too black and white for me..

..I mean, I don't agree with all this political correctness of socialism, but I agree
with the principle of wealth being divided out more fairly.

In the same way, I agree with those that think tax should not be too high, and encourage
enterprise.

See? :D

I feel the same way. I would prefer a more natural approach. Make the state stop controlling people. if a person is lazy and don't want to do something productive, they don't eat - as the AGood books says. Many of the wealthy should be prosecuted. BUT, before starting witch hunts, there are TWO things needed before any hope is had: Abolish the Fed. res., and prosecute the elders and owners and chairmen. Put COINING our currency BACK UNDER CONGRESS. 2.) IRS abolished and or gutted BACK to TAXING "profits and gains" NOT labor. Labor compensations- anything you labored for, should not be taxed. Only a profit. A PROFIT is monies that have made a dividend without you laboring- i.e. a residual or dividend from an IRA or investment. TAX the profit NOT the Principle.

IF the big guys and Americans do not get these 2 things done, forget voting. these two things are the problems from which

ALL OTHER problems derive.
Analogy: We have two LARGE holes in our ship, and it is sinking, and the captains are having us paint the mast and scrub the decks.

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this themselves: https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/heartbreaking-tiktok-shows-cat-mourning-164211823.html

Basically, the article/video "talks" about :kitty: grief, not grief for a :kitty:. I highly recommend said article.

Another article about :kitty:s (as one might expect from me): https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/army-sergeant-working-rescue-stray-215616051.html

The lady rescued a (then)-pregnant :kitty: who was caught up in some barbed wire, and now she wants to bring the entire :kitty: family back home after her deployment.

I like to keep up with police reports about crimes in a south coast town l used to live (my new town doesn't have a police website). I'm not even sure why l like reading it, l guess because l used to live there and yes, l did see one or two people that l encountered regularly in public (but never actually knew).

I think it's the mugshots that draw me. I really think l can sometimes see the crimes on their faces. It could be confirmation bias, because ofc l know of their crimes already via the news report. Maybe people that do good have similar faces and it's all context.

But l like to think l can see a story in those criminal faces.

It's also nice to be forewarned about what those faces could signify if l see similar expressions in future.

I'm sure there's more to it. I guess at the most fundamental level l visit the site to be titilated. Like going to the zoo.

It's also intriguing to know what crimes are most popular (full disclosure: junkies stealing chocolate bars - always with the chocolate bars - from shops, guys phoning the elderly and telling them to transfer cash to new account, dogs attacking people especially children, and wronguns that just walk into shops, load up with £300 of makeup, and walk straight back out - and then there's traffic violations).
