They don't scroll across on the horizontal screen either. It doesn't really matter. They don't add or detract from the functional links

Lol, that is weird @aupmayav it does work landscape but not portrait...but in portrait there appears to be plenty of room for it.

I am liking it!

I am wondering.if our forum button and login should not be accented somehow...

I feel.they will be the two most often used (assuming folx are like me....like I do)

So seriously enamored with what you have done tho!

Horizontal/Vertical. Actually I meant what you have written, Landscape /Portrait. I expected that.
That can be easily done, but the main consideration is whether it will look good?
Oh! I am not a professional. I am just an amateur.

@RJM, @wil, I have a very simple solution to the 'image marquee problem'. Why should we insist on making it a 'marquee'? Let it be a simple centered image. That way we can make it responsive on a mobile screen and control its height. We already have one 'marquee'. Now I will try that.

Yeah, that is the best solution. I tried it and it works beautifully. Now I will implement it on tiiny.site. With this we end all the problems that we created for ourselves. Simple is the best. No .js, no code. See the screenshot here:

The symbols image is not in center, but I understand the reason why it is so. I will edit the image suitably to bring it to the center..

With this we end all the problems that we created for ourselves.

I think this entire exercise....tis I that have been creating the problems, adding hurdles, suggesting "what it's".

It is you who have been manifesting every dream suggestion I have had starting with (let's revamp the home page it needs some color and pizzaz)

It is RJ who has been rolling his eyes, trying to rein me in and suggesting edits and cleaning up the overall look with you.

But you have done all the heavy lifting and I would like to say I love what WE have come up with...lol.

The question is...is it done? And when that consensus is achieved can we release it without comment and wait to see how long we can bask in self congratulatory bliss before someone starts a thread of fixes, changes and complaints... (Then we could just say... 'Who did that? IDK but they did a helluva job!'

Yes
The question is...is it done? And when that consensus is achieved can we release it
The job then will be how to get it onto the WordPress site that hosts our homepage?

1. It is done as of now. I will make the last changes today (like refreshing the 'Recent topic ..'), if the marquee image problem is shelved for the moment to be replaced by a responsive imagetill I get a simple way to do it.
2. Yeah, then we have to load it on to WordPress. Something that I have not touched till now.
3. WordPress has many magic tricks and which Interfaith may not have used. Some may need additional payment and some will be free. So we need to check what all they have in their store.

@RJM Corbet , kindly check if the hovers are functioning properly or not. I read yesterday that on mobile, hovers or touch does not work properly.
Afterthought: I will ask my wife for password on mobile and also check for myself or ask my grandson to bring up the page on mobile. I have not seen the result of my work on mobile.

My wife would not give me her password, but she has faith in her daughter-in-law. Then I requested my daughter-in-law to bring up the page. It works all right but the image marquee is visible only at some point. A static responsive image would solve that problem till we have a better solution.

DONE THAT, loaded it at tiiny.site
(Aww, without the change of 'Recent topic .. So that is next)

I don't think mobile phones provide a hover function. It's touch screen. The drop downs work and all the links work. The icons are there at the bottom and the moving line works. It all looks good, Aup

Is this a problem?

I have changed the 'Recent topic Discussions' and put the page on tiiny.site.
I see Other Links breaks into two lines. I have corrected it in my copy. I will correct that in the next version at tiiny.site.

No problem. I meant the drop down going off the page? It works on my phone.

I can try to limit it to the page but it would require more scrolling. One sees more with it. On mobile one item takes two or three lines. Give that a thought.
One idea was to increase the width of the dropdown. I think I checked that but did not succeed. I will check as to what can be done.

I don't have a problem with it Aup. I thought you might have one? No worries: to me it's all good as it is.

So, what do you think we should do now? Load it as a test page on WordPress (without disturbing the current home page)?

I am at WordPress, walking gingerly. Have added four images to the gallery. :)

Yes.

Just FYI, I've stayed out of this because I'm something of a designer, and too many cooks spoil the broth, and I've been a bit time tested lately, one way and another, and doing web pages is a rabbit hole I've been known to disappear down for days ... so admiration to Aup for his efforts, and for putting up with all the comments. Designers know the world would be a lovely place, if it wasn't for clients!
