There is no proof of God ...

Perhaps not. The two catastrophic events that the solar system will face in about 5 billion year's time are: 1. Sun turning into a Red Giant, and 2. Collision with Andromeda galaxy.
I dont believe it will take that long.
It might happen in a few hundred years, or tomorrow too. Or a billion.
If scientists can be on error in their theories about the age of life on Earth, and dont even take the factors of C14/C12 equilibrium in consideration proving C14 in coal means a 6 000 year age for life, they can obviously err on that too.
Who cares?
All I say is that evolutionary Astronomers gets highly upset when they hear the Nebular theory came from Genesis.
They just cant handle it.
And I love rubbing it on their faces.

Sure. But the point is that the moon orbits the Earth and doesn't fall into the sun because of the inverse square law of gravity. The Earth's close gravity is much stronger upon the moon than the gravity upon it of far larger but more distant sun?

It's why a paperclip falls to the table, towards the centre of the Earth instead of flying off towards the centre of the galaxy?

Yes indeed. The side where he laid down the origins of the Universe using Genesis, which incidentally Atheists never knew about.
It is hilarious to see how stunned atheists are when they learn the science they want to use against Christians, CAME FROM THE BIBLE.
Which bible would that be, there are many.
There is very little 'science' in Christianity, if any. However, there's a lot of make-believe, allegory. and mythology.

That statement attributed to Epicurus, overlooks the concept that God is allowing it (evil, suffering) to occur, for a reason.

An in-depth study of Genesis 3, when rebellion began, tells us the reason: it reveals the issues that were raised and that required answers.

And for some issues to reach resolution, it takes time.

Even though mankind has suffered much turmoil, the longest any individual has suffered is only 70 to 90 years.

If you’d like to discuss this further, I suggest we start a new thread, my cousin.
Ah yes, the 'God works in mysterious ways' apologetics . . . not buying it, sorry.

There is NO GOD: Part II

The Concept of 'god' Fails in That:
There is No Evidence of Such a god
The Idea is Illogical
The Preponderance of Suffering Remains
We Don’t Need an External god
Life is Better Without god

There is No Evidence of Such a god

There's no substantiated evidence supporting the existence of a deity. Our acceptance of most concepts relies on proof, albeit sometimes imperfect. While certain beliefs may be founded on dubious media reports, we generally uphold a standard of evidence. Entities failing to meet this criterion, like the Tooth Fairy, are often dismissed as improbable. However, many individuals embrace the idea of God without any empirical basis. Such belief stems from upbringing, societal norms, comfort-seeking, and intellectual inertia.

The absence of evidence for God's existence is striking. While personal experiences may sway individuals, such anecdotal evidence lacks scientific validity. It cannot be reliably replicated or tested, leaving room for alternative explanations. In essence, no compelling evidence has ever been presented to substantiate the existence of a divine being.

The Idea is Illogical

The notion of a deity often arises as a supposed solution to the perplexing mysteries of existence. Some assert that there "must be" a God because alternative explanations seem inadequate. This rationale spans from simplistic intuitions ("I sense a greater purpose in life") to elaborate arguments advanced by theologians, philosophers, and apologists.

While I can't address every iteration of these arguments here, I can assert this: attempting to reason God into existence is a futile endeavor. The most sophisticated attempts merely propose God as a potential explanation for the universe's origins, perhaps labeling it as the "best available explanation." However, even if one were to entertain these notions, they fail to offer a conclusive, logically sound position.

If uncertainty suffices for you, that's your prerogative. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that the logical proof of God's existence remains elusive and unattained by anyone, throughout history.

The Preponderance of Suffering Remains

The presence of suffering poses a profound challenge for those who believe in a benevolent and caring God. Even attempts to rationalize suffering as a necessity for virtues like charity, or as punishment for wrongdoing, fall short in explaining the agony endured by innocent children, animals, and devout believers.

One might question what kind of deity could preside over a world where floods claim the lives of children, starvation and disease ravage communities, and faithful followers endure unspeakable horrors like murder, rape, and torture.

The traditional notion of a loving and compassionate God seems discordant with the harsh realities of our world. Belief in such a deity often requires either a deliberate detachment from the suffering around us or the adoption of seemingly implausible explanations ("God works in mysterious ways").

We Don’t Need an External god

We are not dependent on God; he is an extraneous addition to the universe, which functions adequately without him. The primary arguments for the necessity of God typically revolve around the notions of personal salvation and moral guidance. However, let's address the latter first.

Human morality does not originate from God or religious texts. We inherently understand the wrongness of actions like killing without needing divine commandments or threats of punishment. Most Western societies operate under secular legal systems based on constitutions and the rule of law, independent of religious influence. The moral compass of individuals is often guided by empathy and a sense of conscience, rather than divine decrees.

The suggestion that our laws and ethical principles stem solely from religious teachings is dubious. Pre-religious societies also had codes of conduct and taboos regarding the preservation of life and property. Principles like "do unto others" arise naturally among groups of sentient beings sharing a community.

Furthermore, many laws outlined in religious texts are considered outdated or morally objectionable. Thankfully, modern legal systems do not incorporate most of the archaic mandates found in texts like Leviticus and Deuteronomy. The adoption of such laws, as seen in some Islamic states enforcing Sharia law, is often criticized for its oppressive nature.

Now, regarding the idea of needing God as a personal savior: while some individuals may find solace and explanation in the concept of God, it is not a prerequisite for leading a fulfilling life. Many people, myself included, thrive without belief in a deity or adherence to religion. The ability to navigate life's challenges and uphold moral values is not contingent upon a belief in God. Therefore, while belief in God may offer comfort to some, it is not essential for living a virtuous life.

Life is Better Without god

Religion often operates as a mechanism of control and restriction, imposing rules, laws, and rituals that govern behavior. In extreme cases, such as the barbaric practice of genital mutilation in certain religious rites like those of Judaism, it can compel otherwise compassionate individuals to commit abhorrent acts.

Moreover, the history of atrocities committed in the name of religion is extensive and horrifying, ranging from suicide bombings and torture to genocide and forced marriages. A life free from religious influence offers liberation from these afflictions. It allows individuals to make decisions in accordance with their own moral compass, within the framework of societal norms. Each choice is weighed based on its merits, rather than being dictated by antiquated codes stemming from ignorance and superstition.

Without the constraints of religion, individuals are empowered to live authentically and make choices aligned with their values. Rejecting the notion of God and breaking free from religious dogma can be a transformative journey, beginning with a seed of doubt and culminating in the realization that the narratives of religion are more akin to fairy tales than immutable truths. In embracing a secular worldview, one finds freedom from the shackles of religious control and the opportunity to shape their own destiny based on reason and empathy.

No, it doesn't .. reality is reality whether G-d or no G-d.
..so turning away from a righteous path only hurts ourselves. G-d has no needs.

The sequel is for those who stand firm .. in times of prosperity, and in times of hardship.

We Don’t Need an External god

We are not dependent on God..
A typical attitude of a thankless person .. feeling they are independent, and have no need of others.

Your first mindless reply "reality is reality whether G-d or no G-d." . . . confirms what I said, maybe you can't comprehend.

"A typical attitude of a thankless person .. feeling they are independent, and have no need of others."
Only those who are under the delusion of an external deity (usually a religiously indoctrinated person) could be 'thankless'
We on the Western Left Hand Path ARE independent, however we do have the need for others like any human being.

It is obvious from your ignorant replies that you have no comprehension of the Western Left Hand Path.

Everything that has mass, digs its own gravity well, even a paper clip.

Nice!

The Lagrange point where the gravity of the Earth and moon balance each other:

In celestial mechanics, the Lagrange points are points of equilibrium for small-mass objects under the gravitational influence of two massive orbiting bodies. Mathematically, this involves the solution of the restricted three-body problem.

Normally, the two massive bodies exert an unbalanced gravitational force at a point, altering the orbit of whatever is at that point. At the Lagrange points, the gravitational forces of the two large bodies and the centrifugal force balance each other. This can make Lagrange points an excellent location for satellites, as orbit corrections, and hence fuel requirements, needed to maintain the desired orbit are kept at a minimum.

Science believes the Earth was formed by accretion, a gradual process.

(Such a theory, accepted by many scientists, should only be an hypothesis; it doesn’t realistically take into account the Sun’s immense gravitational pull!)
Newton's law of gravity says that every time the distance is doubled between two masses, the gravity between them is reduced by four times

The biggest mystery in History is why did science develop in the West, when the Chinese had a higher IQ and technological level than any other people on earth. Why did Islam fail to produce what the West achieved?
Yes, there were some scientific advances by the East and Middle East, but it fails in comparison to what the West achieved.
Even today the Islamic world can not compete on any scientific level with the West.

The only reason is the freedom of Christian development when during the reformation freedom to investigate resulted in the mass of science the world has today.
I write it doen to the root cause of the West.
The Judean Christian mentality they received from the Bible.

The Bible does not have mythology at all. Please give me an example.
Compared to the Book of Mormon, the Quran, Gita, Book of the dead, and any other religious book, the Bible stands superior and not a single other book has the Historical, scientific, and moral facts the Bible has.
Once we do the same checks and balances on the Quran and Book of Mormon, as the criticizers of the Bible does, the Bible stands heads and feet above them all.

For instance, the Book of Mormon speaks about millions of Christians living in the Americas in the tears 500BC to 1000AD.
It says there were churches, horses, iron, cotton, and so on.
Yet archaeology and investigations found zero evidence for all these claims.

If we look at the Quran we learn for instance that Alexander the Great was a prophet of Allah. He travelled to the place where the Sun sets in a murky spring. he build a huge dam of Iron and copper to keep Gog and Magog out of the rest of the world untill the day of judgement.
We learn about Solomon having an army of birds, and General Hoophoo bird flying to the Queen of Sheba. Solomon had Genies that transported her throne in the blink of an eye to him. He also had an army of devils that made statues from a fountain of copper, dove treasures from the sea etc.
Solomon died standing errect for a full year untillan ant ate away on his walking stick. No one knew he was dead.

But the funniest thing in the Quran is when Allah claims He made ships with the other pack animals, and He is the one that drives these ships.

I read them all, summarised them and know which are full of mythology. Definately not the Bible mate.

read this long story, and it is full of errors.
The biggest error is to think God made death and suffering.
Oh, I forgot. The God of the Bible did not create Death and suffering. Allah in the Quran claims He created death and evil though.
This we find in all the Eastern religions. Some attribute of divinity that made death is all over.

Maybe you need to read that fairytale book closer?

Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Utter nonsense and Bullshit . . . Scientists are not interested in religious science, they are interested in, and have always been interested in the Truth. Which is something that the Abrahamic Faiths have never been interested in.

My post doesn’t state, aver, or imply that ‘God works in mysterious ways’.
You apparently misunderstand.
I’m not selling it.

Genesis 3 is about sovereignty, basically. Who has the right to rule, and if humans are capable of self-rule.
Nothing mysterious about it.
