If God was to send us a message.

Muslimwoman, are you trying to put me out of work? Just because your guy said no more prophets after him never made it so anymore than the New Testament writers saying no more prophets either which would have scotched Muhammad's claims if true.

Jesus did give us this wisdom which for Abrahamic believers is hard to swallow much less follow: God is God of the living, not the dead. When we worship God as conceived by ancient men we are worshipping a god that is as dead as the men who wrote of their god as they understood Him or I should say Them to be spiritually correct.

Hee, hee well if I had know you were out there I wouldn't have said anything. :D

To be perfectly honest the door in my mind to future Prophets has never really closed, I never really saw G-d that way "this is it, the final one". The world keeps turning and G-d keeps watching us, so why would He abandon us to ourselves?

Salaam

Perhaps a new message from G-d would be....

How many times do I have to tell you.....stop this nonsense now or else!!!

Have a point there Muslimwoman... Or Maybe it would be something like;

"It's!!!!!!! Peanut butter jelly time! Peanut butter jelly time! Peanut butter jelly time! Peanut butter jelly, Peanut butter jelly, Peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat!" -god.

Hmmm maybe we should put that on a bill board...Oh wait! They've already done that! :D

:D Thanks for that, I just loved these two

"Don't make me come down there"

"What part of Thou Shalt Not.... didn't you understand"

I wonder if I can translate them into Arabic well enough? :D

oh...I'm sure you'll figure something out...:)

Btw, God has sent us a message..it's over in Israel now..;)

Hmmm, I don't know about that Pagan. Usually when God is ready to act, history shows (Biblical history shows, that He did something visible and unmistakable), a sign, that things were about to change.

The writing on the wall is one, the burning bush is another, the wrestling match with Jacob.

I don't know about you, but I haven't heard the trumpet of Gabriel yet...so, I'm gonna keep on keepin' on.

just a thought.

How long did it take for people outside of Judea to become aware of Jesus Christ? How do you not know something has already taken place in the Holy Land and you don't know about it because it wasn't reported on American tv.:eek::eek:

I find it interesting that you say history but then in brackets place... biblical history.... That's interesting.....

Prophets yes...

What is the story regarding a fish trying to identify water...I think that is the issue we have with G-d. There is nowhere we can look without seeing G-d, in him we live and breathe and have our being...

Wow!!! God is the air I breathe? Cool.:)

So next time I need more oxygen, I'd say I'd need more God.:D

If it's almost winter time, I'd say the the God out there is getting cold.

And yes, you can't have a fire without God.

The hot God rises, the cold God sinks to the bottom.

Every time you blow up a balloon, you are putting God in a balloon.

If your tyre is flat, you need to pump more God into it. There isn't enough God pressure in the tyre.

. . . and one of the ways to wake someone up is with a blast from a God horn.

God is what keeps me alive. It is God that attaches to the haemoglobin in my blood.:D Respiration is the process by which God reacts with sugar to produce carbon dioxide. No more God!!!! Poof!!!! God is gone.

Saltmeister, you need one of my "Blow yer mind" kits. You stick a balloon in your ear and blow God into it and keep blowing until you hear a loud 'pop' sound. Fix ya right up. You'll know God then..

Perhaps He'd say...

"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie."

Here's another possibility:

What goes in one ear comes out the other. That'd send me flying across the room. Brrrfffffffttttttt.......Weeeeeeee.......... I'd then praise God for giving me the power to fly without wings.

Ok . . . well, maybe flying isn't nearly as exciting as blowing me mind. In that case I'd like to order one of your "Blow yer mind kits."

If G-d was to send us a message ?

First of all G-d isn't a "he" - that got lost in translation.

G-d would say:" I keep sending messengers here, but you never listen properly and then you say that one messenger is better than the other, ....so...KEEP ATTENTION"

Well, Jesus was definitely a "he" and He claimed to be God. So your point is what again? lol

You got to consider the audience you are communicating with. Majority consider God a "he". There must be a reason...even matriarchal societies look to the main god as a "he".

Perhaps I am on the wrong forum.

Why are you so insistent that I am so wrong to say something about G-ds gender? I am only questioning him as an image of a man with grey beard on a cloud, in a "light "way, as a way of introducing my piece about what If G-d was to send us a message. I wasn't refering to Jesus.

Does "he" have genitlals? I am not suggesting that "he" is a "she". Our language only has he/she/it. What about the trinity (holy ghost)?

In the Kabballah - (Jewish mysticism) there is the Ain Soph Aur - the unknowable , "Limitless Light, Light Without End".

I am using the term G-d also because I do respect the word and believe it has some reverence attached to it. Though it is a word much misused.

You probably have much Biblical knowledge, and can find all the correct quotes and instances. Maybe the majority see G-d as a "he", but I prefer to see no gender.

sorry for invading this forum.

I insisted on nothing. You stated matter of factly that God is not a he. I commented that the majority consider otherwise. I make no claims as to the knowledge of God's gender, or even if God has one. I simply stated the obvious.

The only one here getting sensitive about this, appears to be, not me.

If you don't mind people dis aggreeing with your thoughts from time to time, then this is the right forum for you. If otherwise, then perhaps it isn't.
