Would you love Him without the promise of heaven?
Yes. Go to page #1 post #13.
Do you seriously think God will look favorably on Christians just passing through?
i understand where you misunderstood. for He will create a new heavens and a new earth. look around, everything you see is only temporary, yet people die for it and lust for it, look at yourself and you will see that flesh cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, only His Spirit and Word, can. we are just passing thru to what will actually be our permanent home. i didn't mean to heck with everyone else, patti, what kind of a person would i be if i did mean that?

Understood. But I place a lot of importance on all His creations. We are here for a reason.
Jesus said to pray for His quick return.. Why would we do that if we are supposed to enjoy this life?
Yep then we had to screw it all up didnt we.Gen1:1 In beginning god, created the heavens and the Earth.
Gen1:31 After this god saw everything he had made, and look! It was very good. And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, a sixth day.
where did you come up with that. I sure never said that.So man can "defeat" god?

No, God had a back-up plan.
Seems funny something so superior would even need a back up plan. Like me being out moved by a bag of salted KP nuts.

then someone fer cryin' out loud explain this scripture?
Psalms 95:10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Psalms 95:11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
