What Are You Watching on Youtube?

Harmony by Sir Elton John

It's one of his lesser-played tunes, but I prefer it over several of his more widely known ones.

Sadame from the X-1999 anime

A runner who carried a competitor the last few feet because she (the competitor) collapsed. The runner who actually broke the rules by going back and helping the other girl wasn't punished for showing true sportsmanship

Dishonored
, a video game that's about to be released here in the US sometime this year (this video was courtesy of my friend, Tyler, who wanted to show it to me while I was waiting for my transportation home)

I'm not sure if I'd want to play Dishonored (doesn't seem to be my cup of tea, but that's neither here nor there.) The other two videos were quite nice, especially the video of the two girls crossing the finish line in spite of the rules. The girl - no, young lady - who risked disqualification, showed that she was a greater sports"man" than practically everybody else in my opinion.

The Last Farewell by Roger Whittaker just finished and At Seventeen by Janis Ian (I think that's how she spells her name) has started.

My friends showed me videos by a group that kinda made me think of 17th Angel: Steam Powered Giraffe, a group that's kind of a cross between steam punk and "folk". They're based in San Diego, California and their "schtick" is that three of the members are "robots" and three humans.

Here's one of their videos to give you an idea of what they're like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQWY-JOhF2I

I watched several :kitty: videos (including one about Mayor Stubbs from a small town in Alaska) after watching a video about a 13 year old boy who has 128 felonies in his record (almost a felony per each year of his life!)

Moriarity the Kitten Purring ended and a video about the Russian Mafiya originally broadcast on The History Channel is starting. I think it's one I saw several years ago in one of my ethnic studies or Russian studies classes.

I'm binging on Animal Planet videos right now. I started with a video about a family of Maine Coon kittens being shown how to drink from a kitchen faucet by their mother, and now I'm going through their Cats 101 series. I hope my internet can hold up to the "stress".

A Stanford University student juggles a Rubik's Cube along with a couple of hakisacks (or however they're spelled.) What makes the trick quite interesting is that he solves the Rubik's Cube while juggling it.

Lets just say you've got to see him to believe him.

After Ever After (I don't recall offhand the young man who made it,) a song made up of four Disney princesses and their not-so-happily-ever-after endings. First was poor Ariel dealing with her mermaid brethren slowly being killed off in various ways, then Jasmine hiding out in terror because Aladdin was labeled a terrorist by the US government (even though they're from the wrong country for that schtick,) followed by Belle being persecuted by the villagers (labeled both a witch and a pervert due to her loving Beast,) and ending up with Pocohantas (sp?) retaliating against the Europeans after contracting an STD or some other disease.

The young man has a few other videos up that I might watch later on.

A Lamborghini Miura P400 SV burned right down to the frame in London, and YouTube had a video of the wreckage. What's worse is that the owner admitted that he didn't own a fire extinguisher, which might've saved the vehicle.

There were only 150 of these cars built (I have the sneaking suspicion that the owner's smacking himself in the forehead for not investing in the fire extinguisher.)

I'm checking out acts I don't know, prior to going to Glastonbury this year!

I' have at least two forks that I think I can "reassign". Now, I need some fresh tart cherries (Door County has plenty of trees for them) and spare time (I have too many "receipts" that use them, including a nice fruit soup, a rustic cherry pie, a cherry quick bread and a chocolate-cherry cheesecake.)

I fear that my sugar levels are going to go through the roof if I can get the required cherries.

Bwahahahaha! I now have a kinky fork, ready to pop the pits out of the cherries I'm going to pick up later this morning! {Gee, that sounded rather naughty. :eek: }

I'll let you know how this bit of kitchen alchemy turns out!

Bwahahahahaha!
