Agreed. Mee, you have no authority, nor inside information that allows you to slam others for their beliefs. And you are pushing the envelope of tolerance here at CR. Suggest you back off...Mods, i object strongly to this.. please do something.

Ummm, the "Chicken soup for the soul" series has helped a great deal of people find God, and is manmade doctrine...So, your statement that Christians reading manmade doctrine are not real Christians is to put it lightly, in error. When it comes to christians ,they would have to be sticking to the teachings of Jesus and not be taking on manmade doctrines , because to do that would mean that they were not really christians at all . its not about memorizing bible verses its about putting the bible and what it REALLY teaches into practice . and the true christian congregation that is organized to do what Jesus said to do ,is organized indeed .
And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: "All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things." matthew 28 18;-20
yes the ones who are faithful to what jesus said, are very organized indeed.
and as Jesus said in matthew 24;14 the GOODNEWS will be preached in all the inhabited earth ,
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.matthew 24;14
so rather than spreading idiotic ideas such as the TRINITY ,HELLFIRE ,ECT ECT
THE REAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH IS SPREADING THE REAL MESSAGE AND IT IS VERRRRY GOOD
when it comes to real bible thoughts we dont need out own thoughts ,because the thoughts of God are better.
Wow, so you're saying all the good ideas have already been thought up, and our minds are only meant to memorize Bible verses? I'm sorry, but there are many, many, MANY good things "our own thoughts" can do; who told you that to be a Christian you can't think for yourself?! This is why I hate the organized Church as a whole; it spreads idiotic ideas like that. I don't think God wants followers who enjoy being spoon-fed their beliefs without first examining what they're being fed. May I give a heartfelt shout out to the United Negro College Fund as I quote them, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."
Interesting. Some might say the same thing goes for the Watch Tower Tracts...however that would be for only the last century and a half...when you mentioned idiotic ideas and thoughts, it just made me think about the thoughts of man that have given birth to doctrines of men , and those thoughts have misled many over the centuries, and they have even mixed those thoughts and ideas up with true bible teaching, and it has made a very big confusion indeed .
mee, many people disagree with JW teachings and ideas just as you disagree with ideas such as the trinity.
Calling other people's ideas, especially ideas that are held in common by most Christians (such as the trinity), "idiotic" is inflammatory and just plain rude.
Let us be respectful and polite in how we speak to each other, as I'm sure we all can agree Christ would want us to behave.
Thanks,
Path[/quote Jesus did not hold back when it came to the traditions of man ,when he was speaking to those who claimed to represent God at that time , i think he spoke in very plain talk as to how he felt about wrong teaching not inline with Gods ways .
in out day it is not the ones who are misled by false teaching , it is the religious leaders who promote wrong teachings that are in trouble with God .
and it started many centuries ago , and people today are so misled by it they even think it is true .
As long as the teachings are inline with the bible then there is no problem , the problems start when the teachings are not inline with the bible .Interesting. Some might say the same thing goes for the Watch Tower Tracts...however that would be for only the last century and a half...
knowing the true God leads to everlasting life .JOHN 17;3 and it is the truth , the truth sets people free from manmade doctrines , and leads to EVERLASTING LIFE .and we know what REVELATION 18;4 says GET OUT OF HER . the thing to get out of ,is the symbolic woman in the book of revelation.Ummm, the "Chicken soup for the soul" series has helped a great deal of people find God, and is manmade doctrine...So, your statement that Christians reading manmade doctrine are not real Christians is to put it lightly, in error.

Thank you!!!I do not, however, believe the way He does that is to use people such as yourself to knock on doors and mock
Thank you!!! While I claim to be Christian, I never once claimed that one particular church or branch of Christianity had it all right.
so are you saying that you think HELLFIRE is not idiotic.?Mods, i object strongly to this.. please do something.
Thank you!!! I find it interesting that Mee is even on this site,
Whatever. I can't talk to you anymore, Mee. Consider me yet another person driven away by the Watchtower.
And btw, I think Blazn was objecting to your rudeness, not just what you were saying.
It is rudeness, because it is your opinion, not based on fact. It is because you have a habit of putting down anyone who does not believe as you do. That is plain rudeness. What you've also done is made sure that anyone here who get's fed up with JW doctrine will not give another JW the time of day, should they come to the door step.i dont think it is rudeness to make know that the God of the bible is not into HELLFIRE .
in fact i would rather put God in a good light, than to tell lies about the God of the bible .
how any so called christian could say that the God of the bible BURNS PEOPLE IN A LITRAL HELLFIRE is beyond me . and it is lies indeed .
the watchtower mag is a mag that points to the truth of the bible. but many do not like the truth of the bible and that is their choice .

A preconceived notion has been developed because of your stubborn refusal to dialogue as opposed to regurgitate doctrine.
I had a JW visit me yesterday, ahhh! He's coming back in a week or two, I think? I'll listen to him, and be a good host, so mee hasn't fed me up, yet. I do agree that it is rude to degrade others for what they believe, or to call one's beliefs idiotic.
mee, no, I do not think that Jesus would want Christians telling other Christians that they are idiotic for believing in the trinity.
I don't expect that this will make any difference to how you see things, but that is all right. You can continue to believe what you will; I have no attachment to changing your mind. But I did feel called to speak mine.
Paul preached that even if we feel we are right in our particular practices, we should not cause our brother to stumble by confusing him, deterring him from his walk of faith by meddling in the details.
I think there is a difference between expressing a diversity of ideas with the intent of us as the Body of Christ lifting one another up and loving one another as we all try to find the truth... and calling one another idiots in the name of spreading the Good News.
One of the biggest reasons non-Christians tell me they don't "buy" Christianity is this back-biting and judging and know-it-all attitude that Christians have towards each other. So many Christians have left the church or become solitary practitioners for the same reason. I avoided churches for years until I found on CR Christians that were loving toward me and reminded me that I had more in common with most other Christians than I had thought. I continued to follow Christ in that time, but I was so tired of feeling attacked by people who should have been kind to me. If we are following Christ, shouldn't we then be loving toward each other, encouraging, uplifting? Shouldn't we focus on the practical ethics of being Christ to others and serving one another rather than arguing about doctrinal issues and playing the "who-is-outside-the-fold" game?
Yes, Jesus was quite pointed about some things in the Gospels. He corrected people all the time. But then, He had all the answers and you do not. Just as I do not. That is why it is important for Christians to above all love one another, encourage each other in our faith, and make sure that our practices do not cause our brothers and sisters to stumble. I never want to drive people away from Christ because of my attitude.
You say there is only one channel. Yes, there is. CHRIST is it. Not you, not the Watchtower, not the JW church, not the early Christian congregation (which was diverse, too, by the way- if you would study up on early church history)... NO single church has ever been or will ever be the "one channel" to God. The real church is the Body of Christ, who is all Christians regardless of affiliation- those who have died to self and found everlasting life in Jesus Christ. It is all those for whom Christ sacrificed Himself. No one can know who these people are but God. No man-made institution (which all churches are) writes The Book of Life, and no church is the way to God.
CHRIST is our way, our truth, and our light. All of us who follow Him are following that one way.
