Bringing Good News of Something Better

"How comely upon the mountains are the feet of the one . . . bringing good news of something better."—ISAIAH 52:7.:) ​


News That Everyone Needs to Hear.

It is comforting to know that the Bible proclaims good news.

It is the news that sickness, hunger, crime, war, and all sorts of oppression will be brought to an end by God’s Kingdom. (Psalm 46:9; 72:12)

Is that not news that everyone needs to hear? Jehovah’s Witnesses certainly think so.

Therefore, they are known everywhere for their ongoing effort to share the good news of God’s Kingdom with people of all nations.—Matthew 24:14.


The Message—The Good News of God’s Kingdom.


Also, in all the nations the good news has to be preached mark 13;10

What effect does the Kingdom good news have on those who respond to it? Today as in Jesus’ day, the good news gives hope and comfort.
(Romans 12:12; 15:4)

It gives honesthearted ones hope because they learn that there are solid reasons for believing that better times are ahead.
(Matthew 6:9, 10; 2 Peter 3:13)


Although the message contains the best news, many reject it.

According to God’s Word the bible , the future holds marvelous prospects. ​

We can see the fulfillment of Jesus’ prayer for God’s Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10) ​

Shortly, the present system of things with its depressing corruption and violence will be removed, and God’s heavenly government, his Kingdom, will rule over righthearted individuals who were willing to listen to and obey the good news.—Daniel 2:44. ​

But those are direct quotes of former watchtower magazines...

They keep changing the 'truth' to put the end off when it doesn't come.

There were thousands of mee's raving about the same info and then when it didn't come true the 'truth' was changed.

Then in the 60's you had more again, but the end never came...

much easier to change the website, hard to deny what they published in the old magazines...
 
You have no control over the past, you have no control over the future.... You have the ability to control the present.... A very wise Mexican taught me that.

Stop worrying about the future... Stop trying to predict something you have no chance of predicting... Let it flow and live for the moment, and improve the world that surrounds you now, you can't fix what is done, and you can't fix what hasn't been done....

And as we all know 1914 certainly was the START OF THE LAST DAYS.
And now we are well along into bible prophecy and things are moving along at a pace.

Today the Bible’s prophecies regarding "the last days" are being fulfilled.


All the features of the composite "sign" Jesus gave can be seen.

Yes, what Christ and his apostles foretold would occur just prior to the "great tribulation" is now happening.

The evidence is overwhelming.
As Jesus foretold, there is "on the earth anguish of nations, not knowing the way out." Also, "men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth."—Luke 21:25, 26.

yes progressiveness, It keeps shining ever brighter.

as the light gets brighter and we draw much closer to events, then our understanding of the outworking of God’s purposes becomes clearer.

Prophecies open up to us as Jehovah’s holy spirit sheds light upon them, and as they are fulfilled in world events.


Among the many prophets Jehovah favored with direct revelations was Daniel, a "very desirable man" to God. (Dan. 10:11, 19)


Jehovah gave him much specific information regarding both his own time and future times

yet Daniel did not understand all that was involved.

Regarding some of the visions he saw, he said

"I heard, but I could not understand." When he asked for more information he was told: "Go, Daniel, because the words are made secret and sealed up until the time of the end." (Dan. 12:8, 9)

Similarly, Jehovah God kept revealing many truths to his servants Yet there were many things that they did not get to understand.

But remember! War, lawlessness, famine and other hardships are merely indicators that the ship is sinking.

They will not ultimately sink it. God will do the sinking—suddenly and soon!

and no amount of repair work by humans will stop Jehovah in his way.


Yes, the disaster of the Titanic was great, but the disaster just ahead for this system of things is far greater.

There is still time for humble ones to find a place on a "lifeboat"

You've got that right, at least they've wised up enough to quit prophecing the end date, and now just purport the end to be near...as many have for 2000 years...
 
I tend to think it's healthy to look at external as well as internal sources, which is why the Rick Ross link ( Jehovah's Witnesses ) may be helpful for some people. When you only look at the ideas as presented within a particular group, there's a heavier tendency for propaganda and polemic in support of that community and against others. From outside of the group a clearer view is available. There is of course going to be that same possibility of propaganda and polemic from the outside but I think the discerning individual should be trusted to think for themselves and come to their own conclusions about what is propaganda and what is polemic.

Err.... I think you should tell your buddies at the watchtower to rephrase that.... It was far from great..... A walk in the park, catching up with old friends, seeing your family... That's great.... The death of man woman and child is devistating.

the start of the end was 1914 inline with bible prophecy and chronology. now we are well along into the time of the end

for mee the internal is something much better . it builds up :) the external is nine times out of ten designed to tear down and be in opposition .
with nothing at all to offer.
And also nine times out of ten the external is promoted by those who have rejected Gods visible channel on earth.

What methods do apostates use to achieve their aim?

They often resort to distortions, half-truths, and outright falsehoods.

Jesus knew that his followers would be victimized by those who would "tell all kinds of evil lies against" them. (Matthew 5:11, Today’s English Version)

Such malicious opposers would tell what is not true with the intent to deceive others.

The apostle Peter warned about apostates who would use "counterfeit words," spread "deceptive teachings," and ‘twist the Scriptures’ to their own ends. (2 Peter 2:3, 13; 3:16)


What is it that apostates want?

Most are not content to leave the faith that they once perhaps viewed as true.

Often, they want to take others with them. Rather than going out and making their own disciples, many apostates seek to "draw away the disciples [that is, Christ’s disciples] after themselves." (Acts 20:29, 30)

mee likes to be built up in bible based spiritual food , that is why mee feeds from the channel that Jesus is feeding matthew 24;45-47


and it is very tasty and healthy good food:)

Taste and see that Jehovah is good, O YOU people;
Happy is the able-bodied man that takes refuge in him.
psalm 34;8 ​
