Ads removed

BTW, when does CR officially celebrate its fifth anniversary? Should be fast approaching.

Oops - think we already had it 2 months ago! Still, perhaps close enough for a small party regardless. :)

It's not about faith with me on this, it's about hope. I hope for Flow. I hope the best for Flow, whatever G-d intends that to be. I pray for the courage and the strength to accept G-d's will over my own will...in all things.

I sort of miss the ads. I would guess which ad would be up as I signed in. I pretended I was developing psychic powers that way.

Actually, it does worry me that there are no adverts. How will I find my online dating services now? I like the slick new look, though.

I miss them too - but for different reasons:

1) Everchanging graphic scenery that had decorative qualities.

2) Made it feel like the forum was part of the real world rather than relegated to some remote corner of the universe.

Feel free to bring the ads back.

I'm not sure, as an .org site, that they can be brought back.

Trust me, we are anything but in a remote corner. :)

The graphics point is interesting, actually - I could see if there's a way to bring different graphic elements into play.

For the most part, I've just tried to preserve the existing CR look, with the only changes being the narrowed width, and the change in logo (oh, and ads removed as well. :) ).

IMO I don't miss the ads. I think that the forum looks better without them. I am not begrudging people in wanting to find someone to love. But, I really didn't care for them. The pictures of the women and or men looking for love (ie. the perfect couple)......do you really think that they look like that in real person? I think not, as I have met a lot of people in my life. And the one's that said, Meet a Catholic in your area, and the woman was looking like a Sex Kitten. I do believe that I am in a Christian forum, to me that would be like having sex on the alter in church....NO THANK YOU! I have enough problems to deal with that I don't need that sin hanging over my head.

Besides I found them distracting me from my thoughts and finding the words that I want to use when replying to a topic of discussion. Rates right up there with a relentless barking dog and a screaming child.

Thank you for listening to me.
God Bless
Ian

Oh, and I really do like the change Brian, maybe that is really what all the fuss is about. People seldom like change, when change is really good for them.

That would be an excellent topic in the christian forum...

Be my guest Q! Only the Lord knows where it will take you, but I do know that it will be a topic that I will not participate in! IMO There are somethings that are truly wrong and that would be one of them!

So, if your feeling game Q take the leap, as I will not be following you, but I am sure that you will have company from what I have read here at the forum.

IMO a Shepherd (a leader) is to lead his flock (the followers) in the right direction that is for their health and benefit (their good), not into morning traffic on a major expressway (demented sense of thinking).

But please do be my guest and have at it, my brother. I hope and pray that it may it bring you all of the thoughts and opinions that your mind so desires to read about. Isn't there a different forum for that or has the IO deteriorated that much within the last 24 hours. And if it has declined that greatly, in that amount of time, then I have made a mistake in coming here.

God Bless

I did have a high opinion of you, but that seems to be diminishing like the sun setting in the evening sky.

I pray that it will bring you the kind of noesis and edification that your life so desires and lacks.

*extending hand to shake* if you are willing.

Q,
I must apologize to you, as I have misjudged you. I thought........well it doesn't matter what I thought........yes it does matter........You did not clarify as to what you were going to use as a topic.....So, I presumed that it was going to be on something else, and after seeing the subject of your discussion.

I am feeling like a totally @ss hole. Man, I am so sorry……I thought that you had made a wrong turn somewhere. Yes, I jumped to conclusions as you did not specify as to what you were going use.

Sorry brother,
God Bless

Yes, you are correct brother. But, you also must be careful of the ones that you throw away, because that one could have been the goose that lays the golden eggs and enriches your life beyond their wildest dreams!

As, there are times in life that you can't go back to retreive it as someone else has already taken it for their treasure. Aw, the ones that we kick to the curb!

indeed, but the question is "who" got put on the curb?

indeed, but the question is "who" got put on the curb?

In a couple of cases it was me that got kicked to the curb, so in return there was a couple that I had kicked to the curb for no reason other than I was hurt and wanted retribution somehow.

Regrets "YES", did I try to go back "YES", was I too late in one case "YES", and that is the one that I regret the most! Because I couldn't see the forest for the trees, and now it is my loss indeed. I think now because of that I will be forever searching for someone like her as I never did give her a chance. My mistake, and there is no "Ooops, I'm sorry". As I did try to go back, but I hurt her so badly, and she did nothing wrong but love me for me. I did try very hard, I still place a peach colored rose on her vehicle. So, that she will not forget me and maybe one day she will change her mind about me and want me back.

God Bless brother and "Thank You" for listening to me.

Ian
