JOHN 3;16 -17

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.
For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him.

He who did not even spare his own Son but delivered him up for us all, why will he not also with him kindly give us all other things?
romans 8;32

By this the love of God was made manifest in our case, because God sent forth his only-begotten Son into the world that we might gain life through him.
1 john 4;9

Yes, Jesus was sent. :)

20"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 24"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. 25"Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." (John 17)

Jesus is not God ,but he was sent by God as the bible informs us .

and Jesus and and his father JEHOVAH are one in unity and purpose, as the bible tells us .

I and the Father are one."john 10;30
Or, "at unity." Lit., "one (thing)." Gr., hen, neuter, to show oneness in cooperation.

The Word of God who is God, was sent by God the Father to be born a man, subject to the law, yet without sin "For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.", and perfected through suffering "And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation." The Word of God became flesh, and was God incarnate, God walking among us as Jesus Christ, and because of he humbled himself, the Father has exalted him back to heaven from where he came and through the grace of God, eternal life may be achieved through repentance in His Son's name who died for our sins which is God showing the greatest act of love. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Our God is eternal life and everlasting, as Jesus states "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me....I am with you always, even to the end of the age...I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son... "

Yes, His son, not the child of any other, but of Himself ... As Osee says, "For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice: and the knowledge of God more than holocausts" (Osee 6:6).

Because of His infinite love, the Father takes the Cross upon Himself, and to show us the limitless depths of that love, He offers His own Son, His only-begotten Son, as the Holocaust.

Even in our sin, the Father loves us too much to ask that of us.

If ever a child of mine had to suffer at the hands of another, I would take her place ... I cannot conceive of a God of love who would not will likewise.

John 3:17
"For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him."
God sent His Son in to the world, therefore the Son is not of this world ...

John 8:23
"And he said to them: You are from beneath, I am from above. You are of this world, I am not of this world"

If not of this world, then He is not guilty of the sins of this world, and if not guilty of the sins of this world, we have condemned an innocent man to the Cross.

But this was always going to happen ... the hour was set from the moment our Primordial parents reached out for the Forbidden Fruit.

In Adam we are lost ... in Christ we are transfigured.

The "crux" of the matter is (pardon the pun), there are those who refuse to accept Christ as God. Their question is "Did God send himself?" Now I know that is a human question based on finite perception, but none the less, it is a question that must be answered. How to wrap around the infinite, at least partially, in order to comprehend the magnitude of the answer? How to make it make sense to others with no concept or with jaded vision? How to get past the anger, and the disbelief? How?

Yes, Luna you are so correct it is a glorious passage!

You couldn't have chosen a better one! Good job! *bows to lady* It touched my heart so while reading it that, it made the hair on my arms and neck rise, and brought a tear to my eye. It happens every time I read it.

Thank you, so much for posting it. As sometimes I do think that people do forget, no matter what their religion is or is not.

God Bless,

Before coming to earth Jesus was called the Word of God
. This title shows that he served in heaven as the one who spoke for God.

He is also called God’s "Firstborn," as well as his "only-begotten" Son. (John 1:14; 3:16; Hebrews 1:6)

This means that he was created before all the other spirit sons of God, and that he is the only one who was directly created by God.

The Bible explains that this "firstborn" Son shared with Jehovah in creating all other things. (Colossians 1:15, 16)

Thus when God said, "Let us make man in our image," he was talking to this Son.

Yes, the very one who later came to earth and was born from a woman had shared in the creation of all things! He had already lived in heaven with his Father for an unknown number of years!—Genesis 1:26; Proverbs 8:22, 30; John 1:3.

Explaining why he had come to earth, Jesus told the Roman governor Pontius Pilate:

"For this I have been born, and for this [purpose] I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth." (John 18:37)

But what particular truths was Jesus sent to earth to make known?

First, truths about his heavenly Father.

He taught his followers to pray that his Father’s name be "hallowed," or held holy. (Matthew 6:9, King James Version)

And he prayed: "I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me." (John 17:6)

Also, he said: "I must declare the good news of the kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth."—Luke 4:43.

:) it seems that some respond to the GOODNEWS about the kingdom Daniel 2; 44 matthew 24;14

i did , and i thought it was very good news that Gods heavenly kingdom will put an end to manmade goverments , and it will bring PEACE to the earth.

and for mee it was an answer to my prayer , and JEHOVAH really is the hearer of prayer .

for mee as soon as i saw the watchtower mag pointing to the verse in Daniel 2;44, i loved it ,and i really injoy reading those bible based mags . so some respond to the GOODNEWS about the kingdom , and as the bible says , draw close to God and he will draw close to you .

i drew close to God by prayer and he answered mee.

and it is very good :) many are afraid to taste good healthy spiritual food from JEHOVAH , but mee cannot put it down , and i am happy to share it out :)

back to Jesus sent by God

John 17:3, RS:
"[Jesus prayed to his Father:] This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God ["who alone art truly God," NE], and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent."

(Notice that Jesus referred not to himself but to his Father in heaven as "the only true God.")

There are over dozens of verses that point out Jesus as God, God made flesh, dual nature...just so many you couldn't keep up with them.
