Have you seen the little piggies crawling in the d
I don't wish to take one of your many, many trinity threads off topic lol.... So I wished to ask you this question here... I would of used PM but you tend to not bother with them most the time.

The World Book Encyclopedia explains that "traditionally, the term cult referred to any form of worship or ritual observance." By that criterion, all religious organizations could be classified as cults.

However, in general usage today, the word "cult" has a different meaning.

The same encyclopedia notes that since the mid-1900’s, publicity about cults has altered the meaning of the term.

Today, the term is applied to groups that follow a living leader who promotes new and unorthodox doctrines and practices.

So cult traditionally meant religion? (and still does btw.) But now, in your opinion it means unorthodox doctinres and practices? Breaking convention or traditions? But if cult means religion in general who says what is unorthodox, another example many things you and the other JW's do is unorthodox to many :) ANYWAY! The question I wanted to ask... A cult follows a living leader? Is your god dead?

the leader of Jehovahs witnesses is Jesus,(Gods son) and he has immortality in the heavens , and Jehovahs witnesses listen to him , LUKE 9;35
why? because the father of Jesus JEHOVAH ( the ancient of days ) wants us too.

and everything that Jesus taught was what he got from his father .
Jesus said: "I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things." (John 8:28, AV)

and its all in the bible for us to take on board .
and even now Jesus is a reigning king in Gods heavenly kingdom
Daniel 2;44 Daniel 7;13-14 and he is feeding Jehovahs witnesses with lots of good spiritual food at just the right time matthew 24;45-47

we dont need a human leader we have just the right one JESUS :)

:Dwow fancy giving mee my own thread,

When did I mention 'human'? Although jesus was a human lol but I was quoting you... You said..... If you bother to look again lol a cult follows a living leader.... Question... Is your leader dead? Answer... ?
Jehovahs witnesses leader has immortality :)

but he(Jesus )because of continuing alive forever has his priesthood without any successors.

Consequently he is able also to save completely those who are approaching God through him, because he is always alive to plead for them.
hebrews 7;24-25

Mee should go into politics... The way you handle questions is so funny lol...

quote]
promoting Gods kingdom is enough for mee , its the only way to salvation .

all of those other manmade rulerships are on the way out , so why bother polishing the brass on a sinking ship:)

i have already put my vote in , this is it DANIEL 2;44

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;

daniel 2;44

So if you have a living leader.... Then by your own definition are you still not a cult like the real definition? lol :) I is confuddled....

There is no secrecy with JEHOVAHS WITNESSES quite the opposite , they make their worship very public even going door to door .:)

Jehovah’s Witnesses are earnest students of the Bible who take their faith seriously and try openly to live accordingly.
Worldwide, they are well-known as a religious group that ‘seeks peace and pursues it.’ (1 Peter 3:11)

True religion in no way practices secretiveness.

Worshipers of the true God have been instructed not to hide their identity or to obscure their purpose
i am glad to say that Jehovahs witnesses do not hide what they are .

The early disciples of Jesus filled Jerusalem with their teaching. They were out in the open as to their beliefs and activity. The same is true of Jehovah’s Witnesses today.

If it ever crossed your mind that Jehovah’s Witnesses might be a secret cult or sect, that was likely because you knew too little about them.
That must have been the situation with many in the first century.

Ohhh I love a well laid trap :)

You keep mentioning secrecy? So, your definition of 'cult' is now a group which is secret?

Usually cults conduct their religious activities in secrecy.
Many of these cultic groups actually isolate themselves in communes.
Their devotion to a self-proclaimed human leader is likely to be unconditional and exclusive.
Often these leaders boast of having been divinely chosen or even of being themselves divine in nature.

Cult members often isolate themselves from friends, family, and even society in general. Is that the case with Jehovah’s Witnesses? NO WAY

Nothing like that with Jehovahs witnesses , most people say

:DOH NO NOT JEHOVAHS WITNESSES AGAIN(when we come a knocking )

Abso*******lutely!!!

JW's are scary. Like aliens in human bodies or something. They make you itch and scratch and maybe just a little bit afraid, like the are plague carriers or psycopaths secretly wielding chainsaws in their perverted bibles.
If you think they feel 'normal' to most people then I am evidently not normal!!

(Yes I am aware I have given you it on a plate)

JW's are scary. Like aliens in human bodies or something. quote]

:Dits good to be an alien, Jesus said his followers would not be a part of this world , yes we have to live in this world but we do not have to be a part of it . and showing love is what it is all about .

Jesus said of his true followers: "They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world."—John 17:16.

Re 7 verses 9 to 17 tell of a great crowd that no man could number, people out of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues who hail the enthroned King and his Lamb and receive God’s favor and protection.

and they are all no part of this world .:) mee likes being with those ones, they will get through the GREAT TRIBULATION REV 7;14

and mee has jumped on board the new world society of people ,

and guess what their flesh will become fresher and fresher

Why We Must Be No Part of This World

"They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world."—JOHN 17:16.

JESUS CHRIST was rejected, hated and even persecuted by this world. So what could his followers expect? Well, he told them:

"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

Bear in mind the word I said to you, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also; if they have observed my word, they will observe yours also."—John 15:18-20.

Yes, Jesus’ true followers differ greatly from this world.

So much is this the case that Christ’s disciples are hated and persecuted by this world.

But in being unworldly, Jesus’ followers are adhering to his superlative example, and Jehovah God watches over them in keeping with Christ’s prayer: "I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one.

They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth."—John 17:15-17.

It is because Jehovah’s witnesses follow Christian principles that they are looked upon by the majority of those in the world as a peculiar people.

Our close relationship with Jehovah is one reason why we are no part of the world.

The apostle John wrote: "We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." (1 John 5:19)

John’s words about the world are manifestly true. The wars, crime, cruelty, oppression, dishonesty, and immorality that are so rampant today give evidence of Satan’s, not God’s, influence. (John 12:31; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6:12)

When an individual becomes one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he will not practice or consent to such wrong practices, and that makes him no part of the world.—Romans 12:2; 13:12-14; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 1 John 3:10-12.

......and showing love is what it is all about .

But it is not showing love at all. It is showing arrogance, ignorance and contempt. When you post your C&Ps here, or others go ringing peoples doorbells you are saying "I know better than you do". But you patently do not for you present superstition as facts that are easily provable as a load of nonsense. You were founded by an obvious schizophrenic and built by a money-grabbing charlatan and are still governed by a greedy, self-serving and unaccountable elite. You belong to a classic cult and yet have the arrogance, hidden from yourself behind your charade of righteousness, that you know better than I. Can you not see that you insult my intelect with every C&P ? That you call me incapable of seeing what the JW's are because I am not infected by that brainwipe is only a statement about you. Nothing of love exists in an elitist cult. Love is chosen freely, not given by stealthly methods of indoctrination. Love is something pure. And there is nothing pure about the ideology of the JW mindset.
