Neuroscience confirms there is no reality of self.

It is an attempt by the brain to unite experience...

It is basically a false interpretation.

The result of this is called love.

Pleasure is a reward for union.

Suffering is a punishment for parting.

Both are chemical reactions.
 
Suffering often takes the form of explosive behavior.

Hence, a movement away from unity.

Yet, it started in union.

We see this in stars, held together by gravity, fusion attempting to part.

This is the play of energy, moving together and pushing away.

Consciousness is of this play.

I am sure there is information out there somewhere some researcher is researching love. I have had other experiences as well those of which I am not prepared to talk about. I do know this information is fact. Everyone's spirit is consciousness that is whole body and when that whole spirit is love that's who you are being one with god or one in god. I have a lot of information on these things.

Sat is not wrong in his proclamation that the mind is a distortion engine. We actually perceive a fraction of what we see. It is a biological necessity. There is no way one can be constantly aware of everything you are seeing. The mind must use a shorthand to skim up the data that is the most relevant to the moment.

Does the mind use the best criteria to make that decision of what is most relevant? Not so much.

The purpose of stilling the mind in meditation is to stop thinking for a finite period of time. It is akin to hitting a reset button. The mind clears and becomes calm. The benefit after the meditation is the ability to view reality with a more discerning eye.

So, interestingly enough- and completely off topic (ironically) -> this thing you've said on perceiving a fraction of what we actually see is the basis for ADD. That is, when this mental mechanism is faulty, you get Attention Deficit Disorder - which is proven. - By my own contemplation, I think it's plausible that it could explain the psychic and psychedelic as well.

Engineeringly speaking, no. Unless someone cut you into a few pieces and destroyed your body trying to figure out what's wrong. :D

I figured out your acronym after several attempts at connecting posts together. "Near Death Experience". Whereas I know people who have had enlightening experiences with this, scientifically speaking, these instances produce psychodellic responses similar to extremely vivid dreams, Or a really hard drug induced trip. Now, from scripture (of abrahamic origin is what I'm speaking) Dreams are when we are closest to God, and he is able to communicate. These aren't revalations for all mankind, but can be signs for an individual. The light, is usually interpretted to be God, the spreading out of colors could be aspects of God that he input into you or aspects of his light you are needing. There is a lot of speculation that these colors represent certain things, however he never revealed anything to the Abrahamic lines' prophets about their meaning, so it is possible that you could interpret them from what could be perceived as his "eastern" prophets. As in those not mentioned in Bible or Quran. But the fact that he did not elaborate on them either in the Quran nor additional experience to Mouhammed (PBUH), that those interpretations were not needed to establish a belief or maintain goodness. In other words Allah might have decided not to elaborate as they are not required to be understood.

This is a small piece of my examination of what all you have said about your experience from my Islamic perspective. Take from it what info you want. May the peace, blessings, and mercy of Allah be upon you whichever path or truth you choose. I pray it is toward the actual truth.

Why are you?

Well, if you're not seeking union, you're not.

You are trying to actualize the illusion.

Imagination is the resulting creativity.

The act becomes a love affair.

Union is touched.

Sometimes.
 
That is the agony of being partial...

Union teases you, but you escape.

When you are total it is there...

You limit yourself, restrain, to retain separation.

If you are really good at it, depression will come.

You are happy to the extent you are impartial.

Rejecting sets in motion a journey to accepting.

This, we call drive.

Maybe you can't accept not being the boss, in charge.

Maybe you can't accept being alone.

Maybe you can't accept lack.

Whatever the case, you have become partial.

You want to change something.

Yet, every important contribution to human endeavor has been the consequence of union.

Now the universe can share through you.
 
This man, I call unique.

Otherwise you are partial to dogma.

Maybe as an American you are sold on its Dream.

You are an adamant patriot.

It is a type of communal unity.

It doesn't work so well when a non-American shows up.

Group-think is dangerous, it can justify war.

One part is moving against another.

For what?

Move together, in unison.

Seek to unify.

Understanding is always unifying.

We will never agree on the particulars.

That isn't the correct point of union.

It will just become a confusing mess.

Just to uphold self.
 
In this example "I am American" is the basic dogma.

It is not true, you are a human being.

Still not really true, you are conscious energy.

What isn't?

For me, their union is universal.

Howsoever that manifests, I call the universe.

Yet, unmanifest, it remains so.

Yoga unites manifest and unmanifest.

Energy and consciousness.

Male and female.

+ and -
 
When the circuit is complete, the current flows.

Life is electric.

The activity of energy.

Consciousness is the source of energy.

Yoga.

Ego is a break in the flow, the battery is wrong way round.

It inevitably results in pain.

Physical pain is a break from unity of body.

You have to fix it.

Ego is a break in consciousness.

You will suffer if you ignore it.

You have to fix it.

Not to do so is ignorance.
