Peter Bogdanovich, died 6 Jan. He was 82.

After two shots at directing, he made The Last Picture Show, nominated for eight Oscars, won two. Next came What’s Up, Doc?, a massive box-office hit. Paper Moon followed, completing a hat-trick. A commercial and critical success, and notably an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress Tatum O’Neal who, being 10 years old, was the youngest ever recipient of the award.
