the person's above you avatar

Whats the story with your avatar?

A story not unlike your "good guy" hiding behind a fiendishly evil mask.

Good and evil are often a matter of perspective, relative and relevent to the situation, time and place...and who's looking. What is evil to me may be good to you...what is good to me may be evil to you.

Or I could say it represents the classic struggle between the Id and the Super-Ego.

Plus, its just a cool optical illusion...focus on the white patterns and see one thing (angels), focus on the dark patterns and see another thing (demons). It has long been one of my favorite Escher works. I think it is a subtle commentary on the human psyche.

I've already learned of Seattlegal's avatar...but Shawn's avatar intrigues me. I'm not quite sure if it represents something in particular, or if it is just a horse and an eagle?

I was gonna say it looks like a swarm of demons quite small so had to focus on it, and it looked like a man/human figure with wings and horns before that I was gonna say looked like butterflies but there is more of a human shape between the wings!

OH..... SHEESH! I can see angels now... Took awhile lol... It is like my avatar! (not that I am trying to claim to be an angel! though!)

meaning, beautiufl asian elegance but originally from?
Gary Locke was born in Seattle, and his wife Mona Lee Locke grew up in Citizenzen's neck of the woods. (I wasn't born in this state, either. I'm from Paladin's, Lunamoth's, Jamarz's, and Netti-Netti's neck of the woods.)

Thank you s/g.
I apologise if what i wrote was offensive.
It truly was not my intention.
I guess i should look at myself first before i open my mouth. LOL
(I'll just have to remove my foot from my mouth first.):)

I work like a horse, yet soar with the eagles, The eagle drives the horse onwards so it will not be lazy.:)
Actually all 4 pieces(horse, eagle, wolf, salmon, which I posted elsewhere) have symbolic meaning for me, which comes from having spent 12 years living with the Beaver Cree people on a reserve in Northern Alberta
They are totems to me, in a manner of speaking.

these are pictish [non celtic north scottish] animal symbols [totems?] too, carved on standing stones, later overlaid with celtic crosses.

I suppose they are kind of universal.
Myself I have Cornish heritage in the mix.
The flower bomber is a good pic.
Speaking of they have reported (news) people doing seed bombing with edible veges sprouting in vacant lots and parks, etc, plus flowers on visible hillsides and ditchs beside roads.
That is eco-terrorism I appreciate.

I'm going to make another shot at describing your avatar, Shawn. It is a planet sitting on the edge of a cliff whose fate will soon be determined by a battle between horse and eagle. There may be marbles on top of the cliff, and the horse may be slipping. The eagle is definitely going to pinch its butt.

The person's above avatar makes me think of the Shetland Isles, 1993 and an oil tanker disaster. And most of all of a tombstone shaped piece of polystyrene fish box on which someone had written D.I.Y R.I.P. and wedged into another sign on the main road north out of Lerwick.

It took me like two weeks to figure out what that little flitting white thing was...

I'm slow, and easily distracted! We all know this, lol.

Ah, poop, I'm a slow typer too! Dat was @ wil!

@phyllis: Kitty! EEEEE! I want da kitty! *explodes*

@native: Where was that picture taken? I wanna know where heaven is!

@tao: That. Is the prettiest horsey. Ever.

@dream: Kittys gonna splode! *jumps on kitty and chucks dynamite away* No sploding kitties on my watch!

@shawn: The horsey is beating the birdie! Go horsey go!!

Phew! Did I get em all? *passes out*

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...
