smoking

Paladin, I disagree because there is nothing to realize.

The worst one I tried was having a piece of wire sewn inside my ear - you cannot imagine the pain. I had to have both ears done because the needle split the right ear. I still have pain in my ear now on cold days but I was prepared to go through it to give up. The stated success rate was 98% but I lasted just 3 weeks. :(

That's what you think :)
For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope romans 15;4 yes ,what a wonderful hope the bible holds out to those who take in its words and act on them. This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ........John 17;3 The bible is the place to do that . and it leads to everlasting life ........ And it is a wonderful hope indeed . But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. psalm 37;11 (Isaiah 45:18) For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.

(Matthew 5:5) “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

(Revelation 21:3) With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them.

I started taking Chantix to stop smoking. I carried the prescription around in my wallet for six months before finally getting it filled today. I have several friends and family members who've quit successfully with Chantix so I'm hoping it will work for me. One of the side effects is supposed to be an increase in vivid dreams. I'm looking forward to that!

Chris

let us know how that works, chris. that sounds a bit freaky. (the dreams i mean). when i quit i just threw my packet in the bin . i still crave a smoke every now and then, especially if im with someone who is smoking but i dont know how i could afford to smoke now. the packets here are about 12 to 15dollars. ( i think). when i smoked they were just going up to 6 dollars and i thought that was way too much. lol

15 Australlian dollars? thats aboot 6 Striling pounds.... That's cheap.... I obviously don't buy from England, I get importated tobbacco from Spain... Cost £4.50 per 50 grams ;) (Thats very good price FYI!) That 50 grams lasts a week.

Why Quit Smoking -
One reason to quit smoking is that smoking tobacco endangers health and life. Smoking has been linked to more than 25 life-threatening diseases.:(

Another -KEY- reasons to quit smoking... Because -you- want to and -you- -choose- too.. not because it is rammed down your throat.... ;)
of cause everything because you just want to :)

And leaving everything behind he rose up and went following him. luke 5;29

i would just like add that i quit because i was sick at the time and it wasnt hard for me to do it. I had tried over the years to unsucessfully quit but this time just have been the right time......... surprisingly easy. I wont lecture anyone about the "evils" of smoking........ everyone knows that it can give you cancer........its not surprising.........smokers will make up their own minds............just like i did. they either will smoke or not...........

Today I have seven days smoke free in. I'm kinda celebrating, it's been a helluva week. The Chantix helps a lot with the nicotine withdrawal symptoms, but it messes with my stomach and I'm having a hard time sleeping. I can feel the monkey slowly retracting his claws from my back!

Congrats dude!! I know it isn't easy. I am glad you are doing it. I see kids who start today and I think it a shame, I know it is a tough habit and hard to break. What breaks my heart is my kids only have my mom as a grandma, all three other grandparents were gone before they were walking due to smoking, both the grandparents and the grandkids missed out on a wonderful experience.

Woohoo!!! I made it another week! I still have a one week supply of the pills left but I'm going off them. The nicotine withdrawals seem to be over, so now it's just dealing with the habit. Pills aren't going to help me with that. One more week and I start to make save nearly $150.00 a month from not smoking. The Chantix cost $125.00 for the beginning month's supply so I didn't save much this month.
