Lol I didn't know I was that popular around here so I didn't think anyone would actually notice that I was gone!

Reporting for duty! What orders do you have for me? Will I be going out on a mission today? I hope I get some people to shoot! It's getting pretty boring just standing around watching the pedestrians stroll by. Time for some rifle and target practice! I want to test my aiming skills.

Never mind the fact that I am in a civilian area . . . I am trigger-happy!

My dear Ciel! I could only assume what that must be like, I'll have a swing at it however; I would imagine (pauses) I am not sure I can imagine lol. (I'll make up for what I lack with big words!!! AHA!) I would imagine some sort of Puissant and hypersonic rapid stupefaction.... Yet silence... And peacful? Call it, the second calm. I dunno, do you know?

Will try as soon as I get my pieces finished. The logistics are difficult as I'm doing some large-scale sculptural elements for the first time and what I really want to do is interactive performance stuff. But I can share bits and pieces in a while. I'm midway through my first piece in my new style. :) Have all the planning down and the prototype... now it's time to start on the $40/piece watercolor paper. Eep. Hope I don't screw it up! LOL

Yeah! Well.. I haven't exactly gone jesus with it yet, Currently doing a Captain Jack Sparrow.... Will have to get some beard beads! :D

Back home, back on line.

I had recently taken a trip, in the first half of the month that I did so, to the visit the school in which my little 6-year old is enrolled.<1> His progress has proven to be all that had been hoped and a bit more. Ever of an athletic bent, his activities have caught the eye of many coaches. This is not to say that his manner has has been corrupted by such attention for he remains, as always, personable and a gentleman. The prospects for his future appear to remain quite high.

Yet upon my return to the mountain residence I call home, I was greeted by a number of adverse circumstances, of an incremental nature, that have contributed to an absence from these forums prolonged somewhat beyond that which was to be expected.

Suffice it to say that first the computer visual presentation periferal (monitor) had failed and, by the time a suitable replacement had been selected -placed on order -arrived at this location and had been set up, the main system, not to be denied equal attention, had registered it objections and, without further ado, silently passed on, it is hoped, to the computer equivalent of "Summer Land."

This of course necessitated finding a replacement, that would not only meet or exceed the professional technical qualifications, capable of fitting within the department's budgetary restrictions. While there were many candidates that were found more than up to those tasks technical, few were found wanting in their salary requirements. <2>

Thus, having overcome the many trials presented after having returned from the afore mentioned journey, and by the reading of this brief, one may rightly conclude that I have returned to assist with the advancement of obfuscation, indirection and many other pursuits, however unrelated, to these Interfaith forums.

1 - Stallion, Bay, 1250 lb., Hunter/Jumper.

2 - Alas, gone are the days of obtaining competant assistants for the princely salary of 5 Pounds per Annum.

I do also hope that this new technical assistant will live up to the obligations for I have a engaged in five-years contract, at the exorbitant rate of 20 per annum. As I had pointed out, two cores might be all well and good for long term number crunching but it was the higher over head while engaged in smaller projects that could not be borne.

Additionally, as this is a part time assignment, not a full 12 hour-a-day employment occasion, there was to be no crunching, numbers or otherwise, at the job site due to sanitary considerations; breakfast and luncheon are to performed outside of the workplace and not on company time or at company expense.:mad:

It was a tough bargaining session I will admit, yet I believe that we had come to an equitable accomodation. It remains for the assistant to prove worthy and to accomplish the usual chores such as sharpening the nibs, empting waste bins, and providing coal for the cooler months.:rolleyes:
 
I wonder where Garnet is. It's been a while, I think. She'd better hurry before the single malt Scotch is drunk up by others than her.
