"Oneness" and Satan

Love is a mind a spirit and a soul. Its what we all truly are in origin. The spirit is consciousness or thought and the soul is emotion and the body is senses.

I really wish I could delete my sentence. It makes sense to me but not anyone else because it was an add on/after thought, with a context I did not explain, to the other post I made on page 2. It's a bad sentence exemplifying what I was trying to say in the very worst of ways. I'd rather everyone have something to say from this instead: "... psychologically we have five emotions and love is not one of them. Love is a verb; it's something you do - an action, not an emotion or feeling! Your five feelings/emotions are happiness, fear, sadness, pain and anger. We experience, then feel, then think something of it, and finally, we act or react. We are simple and complex like all things " <- the post the stupid sentence was supposed to be attached to.

Asiza, Sentence has been cleared from memory. Sentence. What sentence? Onwards.

Love is both a noun and a verb. As is all of the feelings/emotions you list. The list is not standardized either. Another site listed the five major emotions (??? Are their minor emotions?) as Anger, Fear, Worry, Grief, Joy/Sad and Guilt.

That set does not impress me either. We humans love to quantify things. It is understandable, as we really need a relatively finite definition in order to attempt to discuss them with each other. It is important to always remember though that these definitions we make up are illusory.

Emotions are a complex firing of a gazijig (new word. just made it up) of neurons. I cannot see a difference between major emotions and minor emotions either. Emotions are emotions. Their power is a product of our own makeup, vitality, and power.

:) lol, thanks
I can agree, mostly, but it is useful to understand our emotional mind too - the best we can. The group of five I put up are from a neuro-psychologist I know and are, from what I've understood, base emotions. Other emotions stem from there and some we think are emotions are actually just thoughts. Most of this made more sense as I learned it than it does as I write it.

I opened a can of worms I wasn't prepared to eat, I'm afraid

Lol, you are kind to let both the worms and I off the hook.

Hi Asiza —

Just to pop in ...

From a Christian perspective, love is a dynamic state, a disposition and, as you say, a verb. It's the true vocation of the human person.

We see it as self-giving, an open-ness towards the other.

So, I'm trying to find a way to bring all religions together into "oneness," a form of mysticism, I believe, and I'm having trouble doing this because of the Christian Devil. I believe in angels, especially of the Catholic kind, and saints so I would like to find a way to reconcile Catholicism with the belief that I have achieved the opening of the seventh chakra and achieved divine consciousness. I believe in energy and Tarot Cards and crystals but also angels and am trying to find a way to believe in God and Satan while maintaining the "divine oneness" found in opening the seventh chakra.

So...has anyone else been able to this?

If we are all "one" are we also all Satan and demons and fire and Hell...is it all part of the "oneness?" I can comprehend being God but being Satan? Is this a bit like the Shadow (Jungian concept) that we reject because of its darkness? Would embracing and the existence of it/Him mean embracing the darker side of consciousness, the darkner side and destruction of the universe, in order to maintain balance?

I guess we can't just be good but have to have evil, too, to maintain natural balance and this concept can easily be found in nature, I believe.

Anyway, I think I've answered my own question...sort of...but I'd like to know what other people think...

And please, please don't tell me these things don't exist and give me logical/illogical fallacies and whatnot because I used to be one of you: spent my time telling others how ill-informed they were/are, before I had a mystical experience and discovered the reality of religious experience...thank you.

Violet

Dear violet,
Good and evil, sweet and bitter, hot and cold, are not the same things, but one cannot be perceived without the other. This creation was established on the law of oppositions. Newton's law of opposition, is that for every reaction there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is the way of this Universe. Hot and cold can be mixed, but then you no longer have hot and cold, but you have "lukewarm". (Rev 13:16)

If you are freezing luke warm is Hot...and if you hot and sweaty luke warm is cool...

perspective of duality

Exactly! It's all relative from degree to degree, within extremes/extremities, of (whatever the check we are referencing).

I'll open a thread on love so the conversation can go on there

Love is an emotion. The soul is literally emotion such as compassion and in origin the whole thing is love. Love is also a state of mind which is the spirit.
The soul is a pattern of overlapping colors which I compare to dna codes because the makeup of the pattern is coded. Your soul is sealed away and emotion can only be felt on the level of the senses. Its takes a union of body and soul to feel the soul essence. Love really is in origin felt from the heart. When you feel an emotion those overlapping colors light up in a pattern but when you feel love the whole thing lights up.

The point of the rainbow metaphor is to utilize the concept of a prism.

The different colors represent the different expressions and experiences of life.

They consolidate in white light.

That is your reality.

The potential for everything else.

I had what some referred to as a near death experience back in 1996. When I did I was actually shown the soul. It was like looking at someones internal organs. It really does have the appearance of different colors overlapping like paint blots. This isn't metaphorical but the literal appearance of the soul.

I am suggesting that appearances are emanations of something.

Well yes the soul is an emanation of the spirit.

Then, in the example I have shown, spirit is pure light.

I am not fussy about words.

God is source of spirit, source of light.

Thus in a way dark.

And the union of light and dark.

Light is the manifestation.

Dark is unmanifested light.

There is also black light. This is different from an absence of light. This is the forth part of a being. There is white light, multicolored light, the body, and then black light. Black light is our sexual spirit.

Sexuality is a physical movement towards union.

I feel like you have been reading too much Crowley.
