Fictionalize Yourself

*stares at the empty bottles, then the sleeping :kitty:s*

Ah, you caught me again. I was just reminiscing, caused by another song (We Must Believe In Magic by Crystal Gayle.) It just got me thinking about Prober. Sorry.

We had a chaotic day yesterday. Yoh and FeiLong were accosted (one of the attackers found out that, despite his long hair, FeiLong isn't female.) Yoh's and FeiLong's initial appearances before a judge will be Wednesday. Their attackers' initial appearances will be after they're released from the hospital. They're lucky that neither of my guys were "packing" nor willing to kill any of them (FeiLong is a trained assassin.)

Belinda is sticking close to "Uncle Yoh", asking him to help her with her exercises as soon as he comes into view (when he enters her line-of-sight.) The doctors watch from the sidelines, making sure everything's done "to spec". Yoh has been singing during her rehab workouts (he claims that it's easier to time stuff without having to check a watch or a clock [whatever floats his boat, I guess].) Yuki and his wife are grateful for their interactions (gives the parents time to spend with their biological child.)

A few of the guys have been helping out with the community garden set up by America's mother (they've been paid with fresh vegetables and edible flowers.) Yuuen's been a godsend since he's quite "attuned" to the plants (stopped an aphid infestation before it really got off the ground by bringing their natural predators into the plots.) He's known at the local "organic co-op" as the guy who drinks tea with honey and orange juice (instead of sugar or lemon.) One of the people involved in the garden has tried to foist vegan pastries or carob-covered soybeans on him, but she just doesn't understand how to make them palatable (I usually get edamame soybeans to snack on since he just adores them [just steam them, then step back].)

America and her mother have promised to show everybody how to make homemade potato chips (what you Brits call "crisps") from which potatoes make the best ones to how long to fry them in the "right" oil. I promised to make a few casseroles for that day, just in case.

Gotta go. Sounds like trouble outside and several of the "clan" are arming themselves to the teeth. PUT THAT .44 MAGNUM AWAY.

Well, here are the results of the prelim trial: Yoh and FeiLong were let off with a stern warning by the judge and FeiLong's assailant had fourth-degree s. assault tacked onto his charges (he groped FeiLong in an area that proved the Baishe leader's male, which is what caused FeiLong to "go ballistic".) The "victim"'s mother is serving eight months for multiple counts of contempt of court (just didn't know when to shut up.)

FeiLong's sequestered with Dragon's Wing (that's right, a :kitty: :)) right now and has been since we returned yesterday. He's allowed only Tao and the :kitty:s to enter the room (he's that  [the female questioned his gender, his preferences and his suitability to be Tao's guardian, and used some negative racial epithets].) The racial epithets were what got her the contempt charges (the judge's last name was Liu) but the rest was what caused FeiLong's blood pressure to skyrocket. Dragon's Wing just adores getting combed by the Chinese gentleman and her purrs seem to act better than opiates. When one adds Tao combing the Baishe leader's hair, I have a feeling that it won't be that long before the voluntary sequester is over.

Ah, speaking of Tao. . . Ah, FeiLong wants some steamed chicken feet? Coming right up.

Gotta go. A "royal command" for steamed chicken feet. The kitchen calls.

FeiLong's returned to "the fold", shall we say. He faced his assailant (and the guy's mother) and scared the living daylights out of them both. He just told them that he spent seven years in a Chinese prison and his son, Tao, was the only thing keeping him on the "straight and narrow". He left out the fact that he is/was the head of a Triad (I believe that's what the Chinese mafia's called.)

We had a real cute little scene yesterday. Yoh, FeiLong and Suoh were standing in the apartment complex's front entrance, their mutual :kitty:s draped on their shoulders. Tiger Lily's growing so fast. *sigh* She'll be almost as big, if not as big as Cloud Walker and Dragon's Wing. She might have some Siamese in her family history (her "voice" is rather loud, shall we say?) Anyway, there were several high school girls who were trying to get into the building to get to the "cute guys". I basically told them that the guys were well aware that they (the girls) were underage and they don't want to spend time in an American prison. All the guys might still be around in four or five years, so it'll be something to look forward to.

Gotta go. :kitty: requests.

Greetings from Chaos Central.

We had a really "interesting" day today. You see, I had to pick up the memorial candles for Sunday night (the Day of Atonement) and several of the "newbies" asked me about them. They ended up picking up several for themselves, too. One of the "veterans" asked if I was fasting this year, too, and I replied that it depends on whether or not I'm physically up to it. That started a discussion on fasting (some decided to try it out this year [I warned them that if they didn't feel like they were able to keep going, EAT].) I'm going to have easy snacks that don't require any cooking/baking so as to make it easier for those who can fast.

There's going to be several non-fasting members keeping an eye on the kids, feeding them when needed (Al and Kei are going to be cooking elsewhere so we aren't tempted by the aromas of either authentic Japanese or Italian cooking.) Yuki's set up several pounds of dry cereal in individual bags for snacks along with several pounds of apples and gallons of fruit drinks. He's fasting, so he's turning Belinda's care over to Tesshou (one of the vets [the one who is "audible sensitive"].) I just hope he doesn't pig out with her. Before you ask, his son's being cared for by his wife (she needs to have some time off from caring for their daughter, that's why Tesshou's caring for her.) Anyway, those who aren't fasting are going to the lobby to eat/feed the children so as to avoid being a distraction (only wish that those not in my "community" would be as conscientious.)

Hirato and Co. have volunteered to act as a "safe place" for the kids/Shigure to go if/when they're bored (the "sheep" will act as security, keeping them out of danger while on the "ship".) They're going to set up rooms for different games, run by different members of Circus, plus one for all the weapons (HIGH security room.) They're also going to provide snacks from their "stash". I can't wait to hear what games and such they're providing on top of all the security they're providing (there are a few wastes of a good evening of adult entertainment who seem to congregate outside the place I go for services, causing no end of trouble for both the old folks' home and the women's crisis center nearby.) I hope I'm not stopped by one of the "men" again this year.

Gotta go. I'm supervising the prep (along with the :kitty:s. :D)

Pretty much just returned from an evening with Tyler and America (and "my clan".) Poor Tyler found out that he had to hand his Soul Calibur crown to my group (they trounced him, even when he was using his favorite characters (Astaroth, Berserker, Cervantes and Nightmare/Siegfried.) It was pretty good-natured, though (he "took it like a man", although I have a sneaking suspicion he wanted to cry like a baby.)

We had fun playing a "once-off" D&D 4th with a visitor from Ty's and America's hometown, most of us threw together a makeshift dinner (tortillas, cheese, a garden and a nearby store can be a real godsend sometimes. :D)

Anyway, I'm off to investigate the insides of my eyelids since today was "interesting" to say the least.

*wipes face and hands*

Ah, you caught us in the middle of the "pig out". Scores of the adults tried fasting this year and a few had to stop early (nobody made a big deal about it in the "clan" but a few "outsiders" did [boy, Kenpachi had fun with them!]) Right now, a few of them are being "force fed" (in the "you're eating or else" method of force feeding.) Fruit, onigiri, steamed buns with either red bean paste or Chinese vegetables, banana "purses" with a chocolate drizzle and honey cake are being devoured by everybody.

Poor Asami learned the hard way not to break his fast with his usual beverage (bourbon.) He woke up a few minutes after just a few sips (what did he expect after drinking on an empty stomach? [Idjit.]) Anyway, he's being fed by Takaba, who is having fun at Asami's expense.

Gotta go. One of the "force fed"s has decided to go with the "or else". Wren, power down, please. Thank you. Kanou, Shigure, please put away your knives. Thank you.

*peeks out from beneath a pile of clothes, making a "cave opening"*

Three more! *primal scream that can be heard on the International Space Station*

Tsukishima, Kuroda and Seya are from the late Shogunate era (their clan fell after their shogun ran away, and the clan was defeated by pro-Imperial forces.) Tsukishima was given the "duty" of seppuku (he was given the "responsibility" of accepting the "fault" of the clan's laird, therefore, seppuku.) I don't have the heart to tell them that Tsukishima won't be able to return since he's dead there.

Asami's grateful that Kuroda's here since neither of them like sweets (as well as the fact that Kuroda's a former soldier.) Asami's introduced Kuroda to the sour cherry sorbet I have in my freezer (have to keep that stuff around for our gun-toting "businessman" or he gets a bit cranky.) Kuroda's been making toys and general mechanical repairs to "pay" for his "supper" as well as chatting with our swordsmiths/sharpeners.

I'm getting Seya an appointment with a "friend" due to combat stress. He's snapped, but not in the "I'm going to kill/maim/wound anybody and everybody who crosses my path" way. More like, he's more withdrawn than he was before their last battle, which took place not long after the sakura blossoms appeared. Several of the :kitty:s are "babysitting" him until his first appointment.

Gotta go. Tsukishima's getting into the peach Melba ice cream and he hasn't eaten dinner yet.

Found out something interesting today. Kuroda's been taken "under wing" shall we say, by both Wren and Mieu (they're teaching him electronics and other similar things so he can do minor maintenance work on them if need be [or major repairs if disaster strikes, which we hope doesn't].)

Tsukishima's been "adopted" by the felines and Nekoyashiki as well as Rune (what a fostering!) Tsukishima asked for a private formal ceremony, inviting just a handful of "humans" and a few representatives from the cattery to the tea ceremony that he hosted. It was an elaborate affair, to say the least.

Seya's going to be inpatient for a while (I hope he doesn't vanish like Aine did, but I feel he's got a stronger personality than she did.) It's just precautionary, but it may be for the best for all involved. He'll be escorted by a few of the guys, including his friends (for emotional support, I guess.) A couple of the guys who are roughly his size are loaning him clothes so he won't have to worry about walking around in one of those gowns (you know which ones!) I feel that if he went in wearing what he has been, his obi will be confiscated as well as a few other items ("precautionary measure" against suicide, in spite of the fact Seya would disembowel himself instead [seppuku].)

Gotta go. Seya's asking for my help.

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

There was an impromptu skating "party" (I can't even begin figuring what percentage of "my clan" donned inline skates [what are mistakenly referred to as "rollerblades" since Rollerblades is a trademarked brand name].) I wish I had a digital movie camera (would've posted a few minutes of the skating, including some roller-dancing to Skateaway by Dire Straits.) Relax, I stayed on the sidelines since I'm not fond of fractures, especially recuperating from them.

Tsukishima's learning how to wear jeans since what he's used to wearing will get him into several fights (and, like what TV Tropes says, katanas aren't as powerful of a sword as is depicted in Japanophile-centered media.) We went to the farmers market afterwards (he just adores kettle corn as well as the different apples and pears.) I also rewarded him with a jar of blackberry honey and hot chocolate with mini-marshmallows (he's a happy camper, to say the least. :D) His friend Kuroda got hot tea, several pints of pattypan squash, bicolor corn on the cob, hot pepper sauce, tomatoes, buffalo snack sticks and super sharp cheddar (he's also a happy camper.)

We had lunch there, too ("bento boxes" of sandwiches, chips/crisps, cookies and a beverage of choice.) They seemed to like the tuna "subs" and Tsukishima adored the "Breast Cancer Awareness" cookies, which are chocolate chocolate chip cookies with pink candy-coated chocolate "lentils" mixed in (a portion of the proceeds goes towards breast cancer research and helping pay for mammograms for those who cannot afford one.) The way I see it, they stuff their faces with something they like (especially the younger one), a respectable/responsible charity gets a donation, everybody's happy, except the "entertainer" who was upstaged by several Oriental audience members who couldn't stand his "music" (who knew that rap could be performed out-of-tune? *shrug*) Unfortunately for the guy, Cross, Lucifer, Sado, Yoh and several of the more musically-inclined members decided to sing for their "supper".

Gotta go. Tsukishima's asking about the cookies he had with lunch (I'm going to have to ask if they're selling them on campus again this year, probably going to have to buy several cases of them if the food service people are.)

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

A few of "my clan" have demanded that I brag about my performance Wednesday (I really don't want to because I'm not that talented, especially compared to all of the others who sang.) I sang a few of songs from my misspent youth, one from the sixties (Sweet Cherry Wine by Tommy James), one from the seventies (Long, Long Time by Linda Ronstadt) and one from eighties (can't recall which one right now). Then FeiLong "demanded" one more, which I chose from the nineties (I Can't Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt.)

I know a couple of them aren't very "upbeat", but I couldn't think of any "festive" tunes at the time. Perhaps I'll make it up to them later.

Oops. Gotta go. Tsukishima's found the "deluxe" caramel apples.

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

Ah, you caught me keeping an eye on the snow spirits. They are enjoying the chilly weather (seeing that it's in the 20s F. last I heard) and they are avoiding some of the louder neighbors. I figured that they earned a treat since they went to visit Seya in the hospital along with Kuroda and Tsukishima (note to self: never give that kid "bold" mocha before going anywhere!)

We're also getting ready for "The Great Haul", aka Halloween. I'm getting out the usual authors (Poe and le Fanu) plus polishing up the candlestick I use to read by. This year, I think I'll do something a bit different by having as many of "the clan" read something or tell a personal ghost story. Hell, with all of the shinigami, there's got to be at least two or three personal experiences, plus one of Astral's employees is a ghost herself. . . . Anyway, there are several discussions going on about what to wear trick or treating. I can hardly wait to see what they've decided on.

Speaking of tricks, the curses that were laid upon the restaurant back in May are starting to "kick in" and they are nasty. The weakest one is repeated visits from the Health Department and the fire marshal for several violations (and, for some reason, the staff cannot seem to fix them or, if they can, another pops up.)

Oh, and the deejays and crew from the telethon got to see Belinda again Friday (they did a live broadcast on campus.) She was a delight for the "pros" (they talked during the music/commercials) giving them updates on her progress. They're hoping to have her case back on the next telethon. Oh, and there was a promise made that "my clan" will do another fundraiser like they did, along with another bike tour.

Gotta go. Another neighbor/"guest" confrontation, and it looks like the "guest" is Wren. WREN, POWER DOWN AND REMOVE THE PULSE VULCAN NOW.

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

My "clan" was asked if they'd help with an interesting project on campus: would they wear "pink ribbon" pins on their collars and inform those who ask about the pins about the importance of early detection of breast cancer (and other types of cancer, too if they'd like.) Rangiku's wearing two on either side of the blouse placket (she enters a room five minutes before she enters a room, shall we say.) Unfortunately, not everybody's that approachable (for example, Kenpachi and Madarame Ikkaku.)

Anyway, everybody's participating (including the newbies.) It was interesting watching Valentiano's reaction to the 'please talk about breasts' (I wonder how he'll go about it since he's a bit, um, "Old World" yet "stereotypical Italian".) I guess Emba, Yuuen, Tsukishima and Kuroda will have a time of it, too (two are prehistoric era, two are late shogunate era, and they have that "baggage", too.)

We're going for flu shots later this week (I have conversation topics prepared for each of the recipients ranging from hunting/gathering [for Emba and Yuuen] to astronomy [Rune and a few of Wren's/Mieu's companions] to mecha [Ryogo and Kazuki].) Seya's already had his (when he went inpatient) so he's going in with Tsukishima and Kuroda.

This just in: a promised impromptu a cappella concert by the vocally talented for the inoculations (a way to keep minds off of the needles.)

Gotta go. Rangiku's being harassed and those accosting her are being targeted by several of the "clan", including her.

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

This just in (something Q might appreciate): another :kitty: delegation's contribution to Breast Cancer Awareness Month (picture follows.) Might get the :kitty:s to wear the same collars this month.

Anyway, Sakuya had a chat with a kid on campus. The lad felt something during his after-class shower and Sakuya suggested that he get it checked asap to make sure it was nothing (if it's nothing, no problem; if it's something, you can get it taken care of before it becomes a major problem. :)) I'm so proud of Lucifer's lead singer!

Gotta go. I sense more "guests" joining "my clan". *primal scream heard beyond the solar system*

Three more (all onmyoujin): Subaru, his twin sister Hokuto and their friend Seishirou. The "clan" knows the routine by heart (at least the veterans do.) Why don't some of them go home!? There are so bloody many that I can't keep track of most of their names!

I guess I'm just tired. I'll update later. *drags self to awaiting bed, a :kitty: in tow*

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

Al just got home. Poor guy was still chuckling, wiping the tears from his face. He told me about the butcher who was giving out samples of prime rib and the confrontation with this one "animal rights" person (the person only believes in animal rights when it's convenient [I know the person, so I know what I'm talking about].)

As anybody who is familiar with prime rib knows, one doesn't even have to take a bite of it to know it's from an animal. Anyway, the bint was caught by her "sneaking" a sample from his platter, then eating it. A vegetarian might take a sample but not eat it him-/herself. The butcher (who I met several years ago) said to Al that the prime rib isn't the only item full of beans in the meat department. Al responded that he's not interested at all in someone who would require a jackhammer to remove all the makeup from her face. Besides he's already taken and his SO is rather jealous. Ranmaru glared at that moment.

Oh, later on the female who had on too much makeup tried to pick up a few of my guys, including Yuuen. Yuuen told her that his husband was standing over by the cat litter. She asked if he (Yuuen) wasn't a guy, which he replied yes but it didn't change the fact that his husband was standing over by the cat litter.

Before anybody asks, yes several of the members in my "clan" fly for that airline. There are several homosexuals and even more bis in the group.

Well, anyway, she tried to pick up Al again and tried for Sado. Sado apologized, telling her that he was underage. At that moment, several of the okama approached her and gave her makeup tips and tips on how to pick up "legal" guys. The only one she avoided was Seishirou (poor guy, unappreciated.) She ended up running out of the store, crying.

Oh, don't worry about my guys getting in trouble with either security or management (the bint's a thorn in their side.) I wonder if she uses the store as a singles bar. *shrug*

Gotta go. The delivery's here.

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

We had our flu shots (the nurses were GRATEFUL that we weren't a problem in spite of the fact that there were so bloody many of us.) Several of the doctors assisted while we were there and both Wren and Mieu gave each other their shots (they're cyborgs, not androids.)

One nurse had a rough time of it with one other person (the person didn't want the shot, just the treats that were doled out to those who had them.) She just wanted free food, that's it. Well, she was given some beefcake (the more "buff" guys took off everything above the waist) and, while she was distracted, the nurse gave the injection. Let's just say that the temperature inside the room rose several degrees (;) :D) and people forgot about the rain outside.

Later, we began the concert (the VNA volunteers were so happy to listen to something besides grumbling.) A couple of them joined in (ones that weren't giving shots), then Jin and Yuu "serenaded" them (so cute. :D)

Anyway, the guys have been asked to return today (no shots this time) to do a repeat performance. We stocked up on fresh fruit and rice balls so they wouldn't have to feed us (we're not getting shots, so why should we get treats specifically meant for those who do?). All my guys are asking for at the venue is water (parched throats.)

Also, we encountered the apartment manager and she gave us the "green-light" to do some minor alterations to the apartment (just energy-saving things like window insulation and insulating the outlets on the outside wall, nothing much.) She was glad to have such easy tenants (unlike those above me and a few others.) I just have to borrow a hair dryer for the window insulation, but I probably won't have any difficulties on that end.

Gotta go. The gang's practice session's over and several of the guys are discussing what to do if another "I'm just here for food, nothing else" comes to pester the VNA staff. NO YOU'RE NOT STRIPPING ALL THE WAY, NO MATTER WHAT.

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

The "for the food" person was back yesterday (several "escorts" made sure she left and didn't return.) The "buff" guys stripped to the waist again and there were too many distracted recipients of flu shots to really make a fuss.

The VNA offered more of their snacks but were politely refused. Some of the guys shared what we brought for nosh (quite a few of the nurses asked for the recipes for the fruit-stuffed onigiri [we used sour plums, umeboshi {which is pickled ume, a relative of plums that taste closer to apricots}, kiwifruit and sour cherry preserves].)

Tsukishima wore his donated winter jacket the first time yesterday. He complained at first, but he withdrew his complaints the moment he stepped outside (the cold nearly took his breath away.) He glared at the snow spirits who were laughing at him, but the :kitty:s took care of them (a quick SWIPE at ankle-level expressed their displeasure of the entire situation.) The Betadine made its rounds rather quickly :)eek:). Tskukishima's jacket is a white fake-fur trimmed red-and-gold-patterned hooded parka (Kuroda's is also white fake-fur trimmed, but his is blue-and-silver patterned while Seya's is faux grey wolf fake-fur trimmed black-and-metallic green-pattern, just to tell them apart, especially when the weather isn't that cooperative.)

Anyway, we're going to have to all get winter hats and gloves soon. We've had lows in the lower 20s F. recently, so winter gear for our newbies and the growing kids are a must! What's funny is that some of the guys want "pink ribbon" gloves. *shakes head in disbelief*

We also had a visit from the press corps from the "Stamp Out Hunger" session. They wanted to express their gratitude to Yuki for letting them use his son's photos, giving him copies of the shoot. The members of Circus passed them around before Hirato bellowed that the photos were to be handed to Yuki immediately. The only way I can describe it is, um, imagine being in the military or a military-like group. Now, imagine ticking off one's drill sergeant/CO so much that s/he cannot see straight. That bellow. Hell, even Wren stood at attention during the tirade. And the :kitty:s scrambled for hiding places.

Gotta go. There's a distraught Hirato trying to make amends to all the :kitty:s, and he looks a bit lonely with his hands just itching to give :kitty: scratches beneath chins and between ears. I'll just keep him company until a few of the :kitty: representatives approach by their own free will.

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

The :kitty:s are getting reacquainted with Hirato, much to his delight/relief. It started with one of the recently weaned kittens (a bold little explorer in his own right) getting curious, his mother keeping an eye on him. Hirato "found" the lad's "sweet spot" (the particular part that the kitten just adores getting scratched) and the human was treated like he was made out of catnip. After that, more and more of the :kitty:s came over for a tete-a-tete. Hirato's also relaxed considerably.

Anyway, we're discussing "trick-or-treating" (namely, "costumes".) I suggested that many of guys from other times/places wear what they arrived in, sans weapons (or keep them concealed enough not to get picked up by police) and have the shinigami kind of keep watch from the rooftops, weapons ready in case of trouble. The students from "St. Monster High School" will be going around sans their "glamourie" which makes them appear human (they are actually "demons"/"monsters", but with abilities to hide their "alien-ness".) Emba might wear a modified outfit since he came here wearing only a loincloth and anybody who is familiar with Wisconsin weather knows it isn't enough towards the end of October. Yuuen's going to wear a copy of the "wedding dress" he wore the day he got married.

Oh, we also got a lot of attention at the store today from customers (some positive, some negative.) As many here may know, stores often have music playing in the background along with in-store commercials. Anyway, several of the guys started singing along with the in-store "radio", picking up and dropping out depending on the song. Good thing they didn't start dancing in the aisles (we want to return to the store at our discretion.) It also turned into a way to keep tabs on where everybody was at any point in time. I think we're going to have to lay low for a while, though (too much attention.)

Gotta go. Emba's trying to contact my friend America to help on a "thermal loincloth" idea, though I'm attempting to talk him out of the loincloth idea completely (he's too good looking.)

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

Just got back from the farmers market (this week's "entertainment" asked us not to sing thankyouverymuch [the audience, on the other hand. . . ].) There were more "pink cookie" purchases in the bento boxes (Tsukishima doesn't even have to specify the cookie, just show his face and one of the cookies finds its way into his lunch.) It's gotten to the point that I'm remembering IL and her "pizza delivery guy" every time Tsukishima steps up to place his order.

The guys are putting away our purchases right now (Seishiro's amazed at how smooth and orderly everything's going with so many people helping out.) Ah, excuse me a moment. . .

Yogi, knock it off with the apple juggling. We don't need fresh applesauce, okay? If you don't stop, the sheep'll be doing some Yogi juggling, and they're going to occasionally drop you "accidentally". Thank you.

Okay, I'm back. Sakuya told me that the kid he spoke with received the results of his biopsy: malignant. The kid seemed to have caught it early enough that it was probably still Stage 1, possibly Stage 2, but not yet Stage 3. He asked if Sakuya would mind going with him to his follow-up therapy sessions. Poor kid sounds scared, but I can understand, having gone with my late mother to her therapy sessions when she was alive. I told him that, if he decides to go with the young man, I'll listen to any and all concerns he has as a volunteer "companion". I'm going to get him a :kitty: notebook just to take notes in (and to give the young man if/when he wants it as a "treatment diary".)

Gotta go. Yogi's looking at the eggs, and I'm afraid he's going to start juggling them. *rolls up sleeves*

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

Ah, we just got back from an outing (the fire department had to air out the complex [again] because of another burned breakfast.) Anyway, several of the "guys" had fun jumping rope with some girls at a neighborhood playground while still others joined a pick-up game of basketball. It was cute watching several "tough guys" (read: guys who "pack") learning to jump double dutch, laughing while forgetting that they want to kill someone "back home".

Ranmaru was cute trying out hopscotch (luckily he was wearing "Western" clothes since kimonos aren't conducive to hopscotch or most "Western" games [he also tried jumping rope and a couple of other games]) and Al joined in a basketball game (not half bad to my untrained eye.)

FeiLong and Yoh ran into a younger sister of FeiLong's assailant. She told me that she was afraid they would take out their anger on her (I wanted to pound some sense into both the parents and the older brother but sh!t splatters) but I suggested she take them aside and let them know about her fears. Yoh's tirade was priceless, let me tell you (several of the "old men" were duly impressed with the length and variety of "colorful language" he used during it.) FeiLong let her know that her actions were the only ones that she should worry about, not her parents' and not her sibling's. "Her honor is her own."

Ah, gotta go. Luchtime grumbles of "What's there to eat?" are coming from a few guys' mouths.
