Who Are They?

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

(Zechariah 1:3) "And you must say to them, ‘This is what Jehovah of armies has said: "‘Return to me,’ is the utterance of Jehovah of armies, ‘and I shall return to YOU,’ Jehovah of armies has said."’
(Isaiah 44:22) I will wipe out your transgressions just as with a cloud, and your sins just as with a cloud mass. Do return to me, for I will repurchase you.

(Isaiah 55:6) Search for Jehovah, YOU people, while he may be found. Call to him while he proves to be near.

Thank you.

I enjoy learning about other religions...quote] then this is the thing to read .

What Does the Bible Really Teach?.................... and yes there is a people on the earth who are sticking to what the bible really teaches . and yes it is Jehovahs witnesses .:)
Well in my neighborhood it teaches the missionaries to knock three times and then cross the street....we've had plenty of great discussions on what it teaches...and what is G-d and the bible origins and authors, various interpretations of texts....

There are many religion groups that use glossy brochures. The glossy brochure is part of our advertising age...not just religions: charities, pizza take outs, and political crap.....just adding to the information paper junk glut.

You can't even recycle some of this high gloss bunf....we should all just go back to the slate....:)
I'm gonna manifest a heating/electrical generation system with a catalytic converter that burns junk mail to heat and light my home...the exhaust will be blown into a terarium to feed an algae which eats bio waste....

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

One day two JW's knocked on my neighbours door... Really anger, head case kinda guy... ANYWHO!! He opened the door and saw who it was and they then smiled and began their speel..... He saw red and pushed the door shut and turned to walk away, until the sound of the door slowly creaking open again made him turn back, and it did, the door slowly opened..... The JW's continued to stand there smiling and this time he gave it a real good push to slam the door shut, again as he went to storm off the door opened.... Which one of those two smart asses keep pushing it open he thought and kicked it shut... Bouncing back open he screamed in anger... One of the smiling JW's said.... "I think you should move your cat first."

A very easy solution, you should have said before...
YouTube - Vaseline - 102.1 The Edge
:p
LOL:D Yes its good stuff in more ways than one , .......... but some of us dont need to use it ............ :) we like being stuck .
Sticking to God’s righteous laws and principles.
As Jehovah’s Witnesses, we must stick to what the Bible teaches when we preach, thus imitating our Exemplar, Jesus, who said: "What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him that sent me." (John 7:16) yes having sticking power means LOYALTY.
Jehovahs witnesses are loyal to the highest authorities in the universe, Jehovah and Christ Jesus,

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

Well in my neighborhood it teaches the missionaries to knock three times and then cross the streetquote] i dont think that is in the bible , and it is not in the book .........what does the bible really teach ........... new one on me :) i think the bible says the following
while I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house. ACTS 20;20
And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.acts 5;42
(Matthew 28:20) teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."

(Acts 20:27) for I have not held back from telling YOU all the counsel of God.

(2 Timothy 4:2) preach the word, be at it urgently in favorable season, in troublesome season, reprove, reprimand, exhort, with all long-suffering and [art of] teaching.
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. matthew 24;14 .......................... but i suppose after about 3 knocks on the door it would be best to move on and then we just might find a sheep in another house :)
"And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also I must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherdJohn 10;16

The children thing is obviously a personal opinion, the JW's do not preach that you shouldn't have children, they promote family and family values, as family is good. :D But, I guess what your friend is saying that she will wait for the end of this system of things... Before she has children, that is her choice... IF you believed there was something awesome, something divine and godly after this world of hate violence and whatever lol.... You may have thoughts about waiting for the peaceful time to have kids... Who knows.. That is her choice.

Correct, Dinosaurs didn't exist and the bones and such are placed there to confuse and trick humans..... Obviously if there were dinosaurs... Doesn't matter what form of christianity you follow, the bones prove your faith to be lies. BUT¬!!$£!$£! BUT! Isn't that a good trick of Satan? That wascally wabbit! ;)

well it does say in GENESIS
After her rebellion against him, God told Eve: "I shall greatly increase the pain of your pregnancy; in birth pangs you will bring forth children."—Gen. 3:16. Maybe if she had stayed loyal to God things would not have been so bad .............. who knows ........... but in this world that we are living in , especially in these last days 2 TIMOTHY3;1-5 we are certainly going through critical times hard to deal with . and it becomes more and more difficult to bring children up with right standards because of the influence of satan (1 JOHN 5;19) And in some countries just trying to get enough food to feed empty tummies is a great pain..................... so maybe your friend thought that she would focus on getting the GOODNEWS about the kingdom out into the world . matthew 24;14 because it is only this kingdom that will solve all of the problems in the world Daniel 2;44 and then in the new paradise earth when things are much better all round , it will be a pleasure to raise children . dont get me wrong i am not saying it is not a pleasure to raise children in this world but we are living in critical times .

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

Don't get me wrong... It's also the LAW!

"Go spread... Become many, lolz kthx." - God.
moral breakdown in society is rampant .
The rise in unwed motherhood therefore underscores the wisdom of the Bible’s counsel at Acts 15:29 to ‘abstain from fornication.’ Interestingly, that Bible verse further says: "If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you!"

Poor gal, this only means she won't have children. Everyone is constantly deluded that the end of times will happen within their lifetime...the disciples did, and every generation since...Witnesses have predicted numerous times, each date come and gone...

LOL on the dinosaurs...my fav is that G-d put them bones and fossils there to test us...and don't forget where they have proof that Dinosaurs and man walked the earth the same time...and that there are layers where dinosaur footprints are more recent than human footprints!! What is exceedingly funny is that they will use all these proofs simultaneously despite the fact that if one were true the others are canceled out!

Ahem...I have consistently used *only* one of those points, understanding the others are false logic. Sometimes it takes a bit of seeing to believe...but then, we've all got a bit of the Doubting Thomas in us, no?

Perhaps it is easier to accept that some tracks, specifically every one of them laid down by one specific creature, are selectively eroded, while tracks in the same strata and ranging from about 3 to 6 feet away, are relatively pristine? As are all of the other acknowledged prints within the vicinity of the site relatively pristine, give or take about a half mile square...all except those darn human prints that cannot possibly be (yet fit my feet almost perfectly). Not to mention, there are a couple of those prints that by their very nature challenge the selective erosion hypothesis...when the creature dug in to start running! Shoulda been claw marks then for sure, no matter how goofy the "dino" was walking up to that point...but those specific prints are ignored in the establishment literature. My, how convenient. And really when one thinks about it...how typical. Been there, seen the tracks, bought the souvenirs, listened to the arguments of both sides and found faulty logic on both sides. Both sides manipulate the data to suit their agenda...what is so surprising about that?

Paluxy River, Glen Rose Texas, south of Dallas...should anybody be interested. Oh, and fair warning...there is an organization there that sponsors a "Creation Evidence Museum." It can be found on the web by that name, or at least it could when last I checked about 4 years ago. They have been trumped by some locally made artifacts such as the Burdick print which have been shown to be false. THIS IS NOT WHAT I AM REFERRING TO. I cannot emphasize that enough. The museum is a neat little sideshow of its own, but I hardly take what they propound as gospel or definitive. No, the tracks I examined were on private property just down the road from there, and the old guy that owned it then was in poor health. Sad to say, but he's probably passed by now, it's been almost ten years.

;)

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

OH OH I guess I'm one of those contributing to the moral degredation of our society. I have 3 children and no I have never been married. Shock, Horror!!! I wont go into details I really dont want to bore you all but, I like to think I am a valuable member of society and so are my children. One is an adult and he is breaking tradition by actually getting married in december. Oh well, at least one of my brood might go to heaven, Eh? Did I mention that he is also the only one that is baptised as well. Was I playing favourites?, no, I just succumbed to family pressure when he was born to get him baptised. OOOps, I think I've gone off the track a bit, sorry. Marriage wasnt a choice I wanted to make then, now might be different though. love the grey

Are you reffering to Creation Museum - Creation, Evolution, Science, Dinosaurs, Family, Christian Worldview - Creation Museum or something else?
You know, without doubts, faith would not exist.

No. This you referenced is in Kentucky, the one I went to is in Glen Rose Texas. I do not know if the two are affiliated. I know nothing about the place you referenced.

Try here: Creation Evidence Museum - Can we Know the God of Creation? Who Am I? Where Did I Come From? What Is My Purpose Here? Where Am I Going? Learn the scientific evidence for creation and the answers to many of life's important questions

I also went to Talkorigins to print out some of their stuff on this. A bit lengthy and off topic here, so I will put in a new thread in the science section.
