Who Are They?

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

Kindest Regards, Tao!
Museums over here in UK are free. There?
It depends on the museum. Free being a relative term. Many museums are supported by tax dollars, those with some type of government sanction. Private museums, such as those linked to, have to support themselves somehow...particularly if the subject matter precludes them from government sources of revenue for upkeep and maintenance. So, in short, some museums here are "free," and others must charge admission.

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

OH OH I guess I'm one of those contributing to the moral degredation of our society. I have 3 children and no I have never been married. Shock, Horror!!! I wont go into details I really dont want to bore you all but, I like to think I am a valuable member of society and so are my children. One is an adult and he is breaking tradition by actually getting married in december. Oh well, at least one of my brood might go to heaven, Eh? Did I mention that he is also the only one that is baptised as well. Was I playing favourites?, no, I just succumbed to family pressure when he was born to get him baptised. OOOps, I think I've gone off the track a bit, sorry. Marriage wasnt a choice I wanted to make then, now might be different though. love the grey

What does the bible -say- of marriage? Not, what do people make of it... But what does the bible really say about marriage?.... :)

You have a baptised kid? Hmm, I go along the lines of baptisim is a personal choice... Not an action that is -forced- on a child unknowingly... A personal agreement via human to jebus...... I wouldn't see it as playing favourites as that kid didn't sign the dotted line... His parents did that for him ;)

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

I can think of museums over here that aren't free. It'd be good if they were but all those nice members of staff have to be paid. :p

true, but all the best ones are free, well they are in Edinburgh.

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

In the states many/most museums are for a fee...some operate on donations.

At our nations capitol we have right downtown the Smithsonians... They are actually called one museum the Smithsonian, but there are many buildings between art, archeology, science, air and space ....I don't know today how many years it would take if you spent 30 seconds in front of each exhibit...but they are all free....one is out of town near Dulles Airport and in one building you can see the shuttle, an SR-21 spy plane, the Concord, and hundreds of other planes/jets....

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

well it does say in GENESIS
After her rebellion against him, God told Eve: "I shall greatly increase the pain of your pregnancy; in birth pangs you will bring forth children."—Gen. 3:16. Maybe if she had stayed loyal to God things would not have been so bad .

Mee, may I ask what Adam's (pbuh) punishment was? I assume Eve (pbuh) did not force him to the floor and force the apple down his gullet, so he actually chose to sin as well, so what punishment did he (man) get for all time?

Shame on you, you....you......you ....... hussy. Oh my hat off to you, what a good woman, you brought up 3 children by yourself  I have to borrow peoples children but at the end of a day or two I am so pleased to hand them back and go have a lie down, before I start putting my home back together!!!

Congrats on your sons marriage (did you cry?). How old are the other 2?

Grey, how you have lived your life is your choice and I bet my bottom dollar (well pound sterling) that you have been the best bloody Mum you know how to be. Huge big happy hugs for Grey. Oh and I hope Prince Charming turns up soon but doesn't let his white charger poo on your lawn. :D

Genesis 3:17-19
"
17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,'
"Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return."

The part about "for dust you are and to dust you will return" is the physical death. When God said not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil that "in that day you will surely die" He meant of a spiritual death from God.

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

dont get too caught up in eve listening to the temptation of satan, or adam listening to the temptation of eve. the point is they both did not obey god's command. we all can sin a million different ways, the point is we sin and need jesus christ.

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

yes, and great, paul, feel the love, but when u've been in politics gay bashing it dont sound so sweet

and mee... yeah, thats right, ur god punishes women for being creators, he is the jealous type though, aint he..

Pico thank you for your post, so the punishment for man is to work in fields to produce food. I hope I understand that correctly?

Blazn sorry I just get a bit miffed at this "it was her fault, she did it and women must pay for eternity" bit when in fact they both committed a sin, by choice. It was one of the things that I liked about Islam, that blame is squarely set down on both the shoulders of Adam and Eve (pbut), not just upon the woman. As you say, we all sin both men and women.

Salaam

Well, that's what the Bible clearly says :)

Same with the Bible, the blame for sin is on both their shoulders, some people seem to want to blame Eve more for it, but Adam was right there and didn't stop her (the original Hebrew and King James Version says that Adam was with her).

One of the things that blows me away about Christianity is that mankind messed this whole world up, deliberately disobeyed God, brought sin into the world, and deserves judgment for their sin (which is separation from God in Hell). And even though we don't deserve it, God judged the sin of the entire world on himself (Jesus), so that since the punishment for our sins has been paid for entrance to Heaven is guaranteed for anyone who believes.

It's so simple and so heroic :)

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

I just succumbed to family pressure when he was born to get him baptised.quote] many people do the same , even though the bible does not teach infant baptisim . so no worries babies dont need to be baptised, Jesus never taught that . that is a teaching of man .
yet again .

As a father he would also find it difficult living in a world ruled by satan, and men now are living in critical times hard to deal with . 2 timothy 3;1-5 and lets not forget that Adam and eve both suffered Death ROMANS 5;12 In fact all humans are in a dieing state .

Also a phyisical death . ROMANS 5;12 Thats why we are all in a dieing state . Adam and eve could have lived forever . but no worries the gift God gives is Jesus ransom sacrifice , and we can get everlasting life back again .:)Jesus plays a very big part in the out working of Jehovahs purpose for the earth.

The offspring of Adam do not live in a world that is blessed by Jehovah ,because even the ground does not produce as it should . the whole of creation is groaning togeather, that is why Adam would be toiling the ground . but when Jehovah steps into the Affairs of man , and gets rid of satan and all of the opposers then things will be more like Jehovah originally intended .
For we know that all creation keeps on groaning together and being in pain together until now. ROMANS 8;22
(Genesis 3:19) In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return."

(Psalm 51:5) Look! With error I was brought forth with birth pains, And in sin my mother conceived me...........................All of us are born with the inherited sin that Adam and Eve passed on to us . and that includes the ground not producing as it should . but no worries in the future paradise earth All things will be made NEW.
God set before Adam and Eve the hope of endless life on the paradise earth. He blessed them and told them to reproduce their kind in order to fill all the earth, over which their paradise would be extended.—Gen. 2:18-24; 1:26-28.
The outlook for all mankind was then most hopeful. Adam and Eve never expected to see their offspring "groaning together and being in pain together" due to the physical, moral and social condition in which we find ourselves today.
Disobediently eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad might have seemed like a tiny thing in itself, but that is what became responsible for the present condition.
Paradise, happiness, and everlasting life were forfeited, and in their place sin, suffering, and death were acquired through disobedience. Romans 5;12
But Jehovah in his wisdom and love provided a "second man," "the last Adam," who is the Lord Jesus Christ. By means of this obedient "Son of God" the way was opened up whereby descendants of the disobedient "first man Adam" could regain Paradise and everlasting life,
Joh 3:16, 18; Ro 6:23; 1Co 15:22, 45, 47.

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

So much trouble over a piece of fruit. Seems to me someone would have to be incredibly grouchy, petty and bored and really not a very nice person at all to behave like this. So why is it acceptable in a God?
