What Movies Have You Seen Recently?

Yeah that one. I also liked Wilder in Blazing Saddles.

Gotta luv Gene Wilder. Willy Wonka was the pinnacle of his career.

Young Frankenstein... :)

Silver Streak; with Richard Pryor, and a red Jag XKE...still remains one of my favorite comedic pairings... :D

Ok watched Funky Tube lulz... Was like a very smutty 'Kentucky fried movie'. Not my humour really :p
I don't know if I ever sat thru the whole thing...but for some reason it was regularly playing in the lounge of the student union building at a local college. I was in and out of there in there bringing supplies...yeah supplies, that's the ticket.

'Yes Man'..... Should you see this movie? YES! Awesome film, pretty good plot, excellent rate of "moments" 9/10.

'Mall Cop'... Pretty funny film 7/10 :D

'My Name is Bruce'... I, -tend- to be a die hard fan of Bruce.... This film wasn't that great lol.... 5/10.

'Soul men' Pretty sweet film worth a look. 7/10 :D Kinda like.... A black blues brothers.... lol

I saw The Wrestler. It made me cry.

Worth the money then lol.......

I couldn't watch that crap and it baffles me why people find stuff like that entertainment... (specially those horror films... SAW for example) Life is morbid enough as it is... Without (in most cases) paying to be shown that and reminded of realistic stuff I just don't want to face. lol....

I much rather see something like yes man and continue to smile and chuckle in my own little make believe fantasy land :D Now that is entertainment.... not that dark **** lol....

lol, who are you trying to convince, wil? lol
nobody...I just remember it being on... I remember laughing at a few guys in fedoras doing some routine and then as it closed in it was three penises in hats... same movie?? no clue... stoner humor.

I just saw Taken good action, over the top super hero unrealism..but entertaining... I've got Lakeview Terrace and Mindhunter to watch...will report.

Some of that stuff was definitely over the top (like the staple gun.) I cried about the relationship wit hthe daughter and through almost the entire last scene. My gf and her friend were both with me. Neither of em liked it. Well, my gf thought it was a good film and that the acting was great, just didn't like it for herself. It was frigging depressing.

Tell me about it!!! I didn't even see the end.... I won't say anything cause..... Well cause I don't want to ruin it for others, but What I thought was going to happen appraently didn't I don't know cause I just walked out and found something else to do... I did that about every 10 - 20 mins in the film cause I am not strong enough to face that stuff lol....

Yeah, and they say wrestling is fake..... Real people, put themselves through that everyday........ The winner maybe decided... But, that doesn't mean it is a walk in the park....

After that staple gun match (at which point my gf's friend walked out to see if she could sneak into another film) it wasn't bad at all (cept for one scene SPOILER in the deli when someone recognizes him and he punches his fist into one of those cold cut meat slicing machines END SPOILER

One of the sad things I thought is how he was really Randy. He had nothing else. That was his way to escape from life, by living the persona out. That scene with the woman obsessed with firefighters, he thought she was so weird, and she was portrayed that way to the audience, but he wasn't all that different. And then Pam, she was his exact opposite. She was herself when she wasn't a stripper.

what those two had in common is what we all eventually have in common...... The struggle to "keep up"...... And it is so sad to see them, try as they might.... They just slowly fall futher and further back, the heart is there the soul is there.... But, there is nothing they.... WE can do.... Heh.... I imagine.... A strong sense of lost.... Being a very overwhelming emotion....

She didn't really have that issue, if I'm understanding you correctly. She had her priorities straight and a sense of purpose and meaningfulness. I think he saw in her what he wanted for himself. He saw Pam, not chastity or whatever her stage name was. But he couldn't have it. He was a washed up junkie who couldn't move on with his life and stop living in the past.

MindHunter - Like Criminal Minds the TV show...profilers in training..combined with the old movie bit about everyone stuck in a house with a killer...keeps you guessing and on edge.

Lakeview Terrace... slow at times but has its moments, good contemplation on power and corruption.

Both are supposedly action/suspense/thrillers... for me I like more action and suspense and less thriller/horror. I'm a wimp.

I saw the anime remake of Metropolis and Play It Again Sam. Liked both.

Frost Nixon - If you were alive and politically active during the late 60's early 70's this will interest you and keep you watching.

If you weren't it will be slow and dragging and inconsequential (I believe, someone feel free to correct me)

It is quite interesting how David had a vision nobody else could see and pushed it to the limit. I don't know how historically accurate all the info was...but it was quite interesting to see some behind the scenes stuff that I didn't see from my side of the TV or from Nixon, Dean, Ehrlicman, Haldeman or Colson's books.

Watched Pink Panther 2... pretty funny I must say, so I've downloaded the entire movie collection and tonight starting from the begining... Seeing there is nine movies in total it may take two evenings... lol.

In the mood for some of that humour, Specially the one where the chief inspector escapes the loony bin and makes a big castle HQ in germany or austria or somehting of the like.... The part where sellars interviews the house staff.... I allways nearly wet me self on that part.

I saw Towelhead and Zack and Miri Make a Porno. First was disturbing but good. Second was a good stupid movie.
