What Movies Have You Seen Recently?

Some relatives have come to visit this past week and one of the cousins has brought I am Legend, with the fresh prince guy.
Interesting zombie type flick, but a little cheap feeling overall.
I would give it a 3 or 4 / 10.
but if zombies are your ting you might enjoy it.

Bollywood.... *shudders*
I await your viewpoint and thoughts.

Yes it is a musical, but the songs are in hindi or urdu so you are just listening to the music of voice and insturment whilst reading the words...

New York is about terrorsm, justice, intrigue, torture, violence, love, relationships, muslims, ... a spyfi, thrilller docufiction....bollywood yes...no dance scenes and no peakaboo behind trees and no hollywood sacred cows...

Yeah, I got the same impression of that flick. It reminded me of something, and when reading an article I remembered what. Apparently it is a thinly disguised remake of Omega Man.

Not your stereo type bollywood? Then I will watch this and keep an open mind lol.

couple of good ones for me lately

Blindness - a plague of blindness rampages and the blind people get locked up in quarantine.. interesting to see the breakdown in civilization.

Awake - a guy goes in for a heart transplant and is completely conscious yet paralyzed through it... scary! moral... be careful who you trust with your heart.

7 pounds.. some people didnt like it but i loved it and I think thats because I didnt know anything about it when I watched it. Its not really like a regular movie.. its more like an experience.

now I was looking forward to watching the new Harry Potter but two of my friends saw it and said dont waste my money... it was boooring and flopped big time.. :(

I liked that movie, for one part. That was a real glimpse at humanity when his dog, his best friend for all that time of solitude, is bitten because of his mistake. And then... I cried. Poor puppy.

I love zombie flicks... didn't really see this as a zombie fick per se.
Kinda had the zombie feel, but those things weren't zombies. They were like crazy vampire creature things.

I liked it. I knew it was a remake before I watched it, though. My da is a walking Google.

Doppelganger AKA (american title) Journey to the far side of the sun.
Pretty cool space flick with a nice little twist. I dunno... I watch too many movies.

I got Jerry Magiure free in a weekly newspaper, watched it a couple of nights ago. Its a chick flick, overall was good, had a good moral to the stroy.

Iam legend is one of them films you either really love or really hate, I remember being put off from seeing it at the cinema but I must say I really liked it.

Speaking of Will Smith movies, I just watched Seven Pounds. It. Was. Incredible.

Just watch it, seriously, it is so complex and exquisitely beautiful and heartbreaking in the same breath. It's just a fantastic movie.

I think I'm gonna watch it again. Even though it made me cry...

Watch it, tis good.

And I just looked back and saw that it was already mentioned, but whatever. It's that awesome. Especially if you don't know what it's about beforehand. I'm so glad my friends didn't ruin this one for me. People that ruin movies just get on my nerves... and I wouldn't want my friends to fall under the category of those annoying movie wreckers. That'd be bad...

This weekend I watched Push.. pretty good.. kept me interested and Gran Torino it was a bit much... a lot of racial slurs and it seemed to be one last ego boosting guy movie for our man Clint Eastwood.

Push was good. Gran Torino was good also IMO, and I guess I chalked the racial slurs thing up to a product of the times he was brought up in yano. He still treated people with respect according to how they acted, and not what race they were. They kinda seemed like just words to me yano? Like he didn't really mean em to be offensive.

My favorite line: "See ya later, pusscake."

Had me laughin for like five minutes straight.

Good movie overall though. Nice character development.

Watched "Twilight" last night - very much enjoyed it.

It's a vampire movie with a difference - much more focused on the human and relationship element, and surprisingly, probably suitable as a family film.

There a good streak of character humour in there, plenty of tension, but almost no violence whatsoever, and no nudity either.

Certainly recommended, especially with partner. :)

I as promised, I would, downloaded it!! And I will watch it tonight!! I have been so... captured.... Bewitched.... By the audio version of the harry potter novels as of late, going to bed at like 9pm and sitting there and listening to a few chapters.... Relaxing, have vivd dreams and the books, are.... excellent lol the films are an insult to the author.

So appologies, but I have downloaded it, I shall watch it this very night!

Not I said the duck.... I'm not into horrors... never have been, just not my cup of tea. (and I have a best friend from high school who writes porno-horror... one of his books have been turned into a film but it hasn't been picked up yet)

but back to your movie....how's this review...enough for me not to have interest.

Lars Von Trier is a director who's always been going his own ways, and this can definitely be seen in this movie. Antichrist is a movie that doesn't hold anything back when it comes to gore, and the stuff that you see in the film won't leave your mind the next couple of days. But the movie itself is much more than that... The movie is beautifully shot, the story and setting extremely uncomfortable and the acting is fantastic. The movie is sometime painful to watch, not in a "Saw" or "Hostel" kind of way, but when you leave the theater you feel genuinely uncomfortable, and that is one of the reasons why i liked this movie. It's a movie like nothing i've experienced and I'm glad that we have directors like Lars Von Trier that dares to make a film like this. It's nothing like the mainstream movies that are being made nowadays, and it makes your mind race when you leave the theater, something very few movies does. You aren't served with facts, as with any other movies, but are left to interpret and think for yourself. It's a bizarre movie and not one for the faint of heart, but if you dare to be provoked and see a movie like nothing you've ever seen, then go see Antichrist.
